Disclosure: I am friends with the developer This game has become my latest addiction. While the game does need a bit more sharpening and refining from a design perspective, the gameplay is really fun and has been able to keep me hooked and made me keep coming back to it daily to see how high I can get my score. The game is definitely worth its price! My Steam curator group
this game should have been called kicked balls because mine are still soar from purchasing this sleeper it was all i could do to stay awake this was just a desperate attemp to make an easy buck so save yours!
Laser Ball is a very low effort "arcade" style game where you aimlessly run around avoiding balls and collecting little sparkly things on a 2D fixed map. This game fails most of the minimum requirements for an acceptable PC game. Fixed resolution, no control customisability, poor graphics and sound, and of course mindlessly terrible gameplay, so bad that it makes Frogger look like GTAV. Not worth buying at any price, there are free browser based and mobile games that offer far more quality and entertainment. Why pay money when you can get better for free?
Online Stalking and Harrassment
The developer has started stalking me, delivering personal attacks and is attempting to publicly cyberbully and intimidate me by posting hitpiece videos and articles. Why? Because I wrote an honest and frank assessment about an objectively bad and failed product. It's an objective failure rejected by gamers, confirmed by SteamDB figures for the failed game, and for the other reasons I supplied in my accurate review. Certainly, the hitpieces the stalker/developer here has linked up are false and misleading (for example, I've given positive reviews to 2D indie games in the past, but the "developer" here chooses to lie about that), but cyberbullies don't care about facts, they just want to intimidate and attack those for providing the truths the developer can't emotionally accept. This unhinged, unstable and harmful behavior from the developer is utterly unacceptable, and is a chilling attempt to silence the truth. Now, you can look at the objective facts of my review, and then have a look at how this reviewer is attacking and intimidating reviewers, and suddenly the overwhelming rejection of these crappy GameMaker Studio ripoffs makes perfect sense. I will not be intimidated or silenced by stalkers and bullies.
Laser Ball - Version 1.05 First, I need to say thanks for the key to the developer. Next, on to the game. I went in to playing this game with low expectations, but I stopped playing extremly impressed! I was not expecting a game like this to be this addicting and fun! I thought the game would definitly be worth the $3 if you put a ton of hours into it. I had a blast in the short time that I was playing. The only problem I found was there was this windows 7 mouse noise that would play when the electro blob would touch another ball, it was quite strange. Thanks for allowing me to play this game developer, it brings a classic game feeling back to steam. I wish most games were like this. I definitely give this game a thumbs up, and I reccomend it to everybody who enjoys classic NES and commodore games.
Don't let the simple graphics (which has a kinda charm to it!) fool you, this is fun and quite challenging! Thumbs up from me! Thanks to Zaxtor for the key!
It's way worth it's price man i suggest you keep it up with your arcade games because this was something new.
This game is honestly a ton of fun... It's simple to learn, but challenging in the best way possible. It's well worth the full price and it's the closest thing to oldschool arcade games that we have today, and it doesn't even cost you money per try! Definitely pick this up. :D
«Laser Ball»
Если вы ищите расслабляющую игру для отдыха или легкую аркаду для детей, то это «не ваша чашка чая» (it’s not your cup of tea).
It's a nice chill game that takes some time to get used to the mechanics. Having some hints to get an idea of what exactly to do (or reading the instructions) is definitely beneficial! Watch out for that red ball of death too! The mechanics are solid and there don't seem to be any bugs which is nice, and the hit detection is spot on. I haven't made it very far into the levels, but the difficulty ramps up nicely from level to level. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes indie, retro games that involve planning and forethought more than skill.
