One of the more cerebral and entertaining experiences from an Indian indie game studio. Needs a better save system in single-player, else it's a lot of fun.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.

Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"Kurukshetra: Ascension" is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. So this is, at face value, just Hearthstone but with an Indian mythology theme stapled onto it weakly. But really it's obvious this is just a mobile app cash shop hustle. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the too-bright, colourful, thin plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. As with all mobile scams, you're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality mobile app, this is specifically designed to invalidate your consumer rights and destroy your right to privacy. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. The developers abandoned this 1 year and 10 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. Despite not being able to finish the game, the developers apparently had all the time in the world to build that fully functional cash shop, and financial transaction back-end system into the game. That shows the developers primary goal was just to set out to gouge cash from Steam gamers just like mobile devs do with mobile peasants. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. You can always judge a product by how popular it is with the general public. Steam has over 130 million unique gamers, and over 40 million unique logons every day from dedicated PC gamers. But this only ever had a peak user count of a dozen or so people... that's very poor public reception. Gamers rejected this, most likely due to the reasons I supply in this review. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead. At the end of the day, my reviews are intended to help gamers find quality and avoid the dregs (with over 140,000 games on Steam... not all of them are masterpieces). If you think my review is wrong, definitely add this to your library, download it and play it... it's surely exactly the kind of game you'll love (but I doubt it will work out that way). Game reviews are for gamers to share their thoughts and help others choose where to spend valuable time. If my review helps you to grab or reject this game, then my job is done.

I've been playing this game for a while now and I must say it’s an absolute gem. The card animations are stunning, every match feels epic, and the voice-over of the heroes/units makes the game even more immersive.
A Soulless, Predatory Card Game – Avoid
This game lacks any real soul or intent. It feels like a worse version of Legends of Runeterra with a cheap Indian mythology paint job. I played the solo campaign once, beat it effortlessly on my first try (and I’m not some card game prodigy), and was immediately asked to pay for the next part. If your introductory campaign is this shallow and easy, why would I spend money on more? Runeterra offers far deeper, more challenging, and entirely free campaigns—this doesn’t even compare. But it gets worse. The game uses account-wide premium currencies instead of separate campaign resources. If you spend your gold in the campaign, congrats—you’re now locked out of card packs or upgrades for future runs. And yes, it’s not just account-bound… it’s premium currency. Speaking of which, there are two premium currencies: Shards (for unlocking champions—you start with just 500, and champions cost 300-500, so you’re stuck with one choice). Gold (for everything else: packs, upgrades, etc.). The "roguelike" mode—their flagship mode—completely misses the point of the genre. Roguelikes are about making the best of what you’re given, learning what to avoid and what to get, but here, progression is get stuck? Swipe card and get shared resources, killing any sense of replayability. Save your time and money. Play Runeterra instead.
really enjoying the game so far! love the pve story mode as well as the competitive mode.
It's fun. Not too different from the other card games, but the story and the characters are great. I play it on my phone as well, it's cross-platform. I just bought the full story pack since I am mostly interested in it.
Surprisingly fun, even if you're not into card games. I don’t usually enjoy these kinds of games, what I call "card games". But this one really surprised me. The mix of Indian mythology and artwork is really well done. The story is interesting, and the voice acting and music are great too. After playing 2-3 matches, I got the hang of the basics and started to enjoy it more. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!
Was perfect back in the day, I just returned and the game is pretty much worse in every aspect, but what push me to write this review the weekly missions are now behind a pay wall, I got a mission that require me to buy and adventure (only possible with real money) and then I reroll the mission and get another one that also requires an adventure ♥♥♥♥ this
Good game. Im not into card games or mythology, but i still enjoyed. Made with quality.
When I started playing the game a few months ago on my mobile I was really impressed with the concept and graphics of the game. Then I switched to the PC mode becuase of the better screen view and overall experience. Unfortunately after each update the bugs seemed also to increase. Now I am at the point where I can not continue my story game no matter what I do. The game wants me to pay for the new theme nevertheless I have already payed them multiple times. The only play I can do is duel or arena fights and only the first level Narak. All others are somehow locked (I mean when I leave the game at some point and want to come back to the same point the game does not load downloading 0% bug) It has a potential to grow but from last update they made at the begining of November the game turned unplayable therefore I can not reccomend it. Please developers fix the bugs!!!
