Been having a blast with this game so far!! The art for the Kraktures is adorable and I LOVE the art for NPCs. Along with being excited to see the designs of the monsters, I found myself feeling the same way about each of the trainers I fought. So many unique characters! The capture mechanic is also engaging, and far more enjoyable than throwing a ball or capsule to capture your creature. Being able to customize your Krakture's stats upon level up and being able to choose turn-based or real-time battles is also a super fun feature. With that being said, there are some things that could be tweaked to make the gameplay even better. Real-Time Battles - When your allies attack or die, a pop-up appears on screen for each action, which is distracting. Putting that information at the bottom of the screen, and not making it mandatory to click out of would make the battles better - All the mons would sometimes get stuck on the tree or walls on the battle map - The timing your jump mini-game does not have a timer or a cap of 100% like the battle minigames do, which, in my opinion makes it take far too long - This could just be a skill issue on my part, but when facing wild Kraktures with a full party of 4, it seems that the wild Krakture has its stats scaled up. This made it so I died ALOT because the wild one would one-shot my entire team Bugs - Sometimes, when my whole team fainted all Kraktures except my starter were sent to the PC, so I had to re-add my Kraktures to my team over and over again - When capturing a Krakture, my game crashed and I lost some progress. If the game would auto-save after capturing Kraktures, that would save some heartache Overall a solid game so far and I'm excited to keep exploring. Great work dev(s)!

As a reviewer I base some portion of my recommendation on price. Please bear in mind that I'm reviewing this game as an indie costing under $10, not as a competitor for something like TemTem or another larger Pokemon competitor. This game has a lot of great ideas. Here's just a few: - Customizable game settings (ex. difficulty; real-time vs turn-based battling; randomizer) - Ranger-like capture system where you can catch after battle or on the overworld, both with a minigame - Adjustable abilities - Choose how to balance your own Krakture's stats with levels There's also QOL improvements to the old creature collecting/battling genre such as: - PC accessible from menu - Settings for XP Share - Choose whether NPCs "see" you to initiate battle - Option for level scaling All that, plus varied designs and so far some decent puzzling, make this game well-worth a shot. That being said, here's my main issues with this game: - Combat gets tiring fast. Unlike Pokemon, where your mon has a set type, this game has a rock-paper-scissors type "choose your type" mechanic at the start of each turn, which determines the efficacy of any attacks (think Fire Emblem's weapon type triangle). This is much simpler than Pokemon, which might make it easier to grasp, but it's also really basic and makes me less interested in strategically setting up a team. - In a similar regard, moves are very simple. There's a "signature" move for each creature that's potentially pretty cool, but otherwise there's just a set of standard moves they can use that don't feel much different per species. Maybe that's good if you just want the creature you like cosmetically the most? - Creatures spawn in the overworld quite densely and will chase you at a decent speed. I got tired very quickly of the many forced encounters. You can crouch, but this is slow and doesn't prevent being noticed altogether, especially in a bottleneck. - ETA: Fruit use seems to regularly crash the game. Minor gripes: - Creatures' animations do not turn when you're walking, so for example the starter will "walk" backwards with you. - Significant errors in the English for the "dex" entries. I'd be happy to help with this if needed. - Font is honestly kind of straining on the eyes and difficult to read.
The game itself is good, it's fun, simple, and easy going, have a few bugs but nothing that can't be fixed on a future update, also have a few things that I don't know how they work or their function, but yeah, the game is nice in general. EDIT AFTER FINISHING IT: Damn... ok ok, so... ignoring the buggy parts (I hope that can be fixed)... What can I say? even when the story is simple... have it's charm, honestly I liked it much more than I thought, and I would like to see more, at least I think I am going to follow more about the DEV(S). I already finished the game, I still have things to do like finishing the Monster List and more, but damn, I loved the game, I am not sure why, but my support to the Dev(s), and I hope can we have more.
