Which would be:
Mapping might be unreliable.
Some Direct Input controllers cut in and out creating a “stuttering effect” with the player movement.
Direct Input controllers do not rumble when used without external software (Use external software at your own risk.).

A nice and simple retro game that has Galaga vibes, that's always a plus! it has humor to it which is nice, a simple story don't have to have one that's overly complicated. not sure why some people are giving bad reviews (guess some people just gotta gripe about something) typical now-a-days it also has multiplayer, only adding to the fun in a retro revisit of a by gone era. plus it's now free! so now there's nothing holding you or me back! I prefer to support inde developers over the out of touch AAA developers 10/10 Will play again

I finished the first section of the game and it was not bad at all. Shame most indie devs for some reason don't use the Curator Connect tool. It would have been especially useful when the dev started giving major updates to the game after the initial negative reviews. With indie games that are multiplayer based and dead at launch, devs not sending copies to curators is the reason and same goes for all the games that get barely any sales. With the game being free, I definitely say that it's worth checking out but otherwise, I don't know, it feels lackluster so giving it a price point, I'd say $2.99 at most would have been okay as the dev clearly put lots and lots of time into development and there's an actual story.
Hilariously bad. Nothing here works how it should work in a shmup. Even euro shmups are much better. And the achievements don't even work. Don't waste your time with this! Edit 01/28/2026 To the dev: As I said, it's hilariously bad. Which basically means: if you obviously don't want to do the work, I'm not going to do it either! And if you want to know what a well-made top-down shmup looks like, just take a look at this: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2088520/Shooting_Game_KARI/ It's free, too!
Before I played Kowi Ishto: Battle of Akonoli, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
