Bought it because I thought it would be funny, Unironically a good game.
Came for the spaceships, stayed for the potatoes. 10/10
Come for the Soviet Space Tetris Stay for the soundtrack, wacky cold war dialogue, and a chance to see all the different story branches and endings. Resist capitalist propaganda comrade, Enjoy glorious communist utopia in service superior soviet space force, You will be rewarded for work eat potato in new motherland.
In my top 10. Original, and hilarious. I also love the sound and attention to details, it feels like a work of passion. Challenging too - after all it is a timed, physics-based, puzzle game. But changing the course of history by messing up ships is also part of the fun. So come on Peeler, Space Force needs you!
A really fun, challenging, and as a result, really satisfying puzzle game. Loads of replay value as the subtle decisions you make change the story and each puzzle is randomly generated and often changed further by outside elements. You can even restart the same level several times and get a different puzzle each time. Lots of light hearted and strangely current humor too. Also, who doesn't love snide comments from Bill N i g h y (it censors his name)
A physics-based game with Papers Please-like choices matter approach and a pretty funny cast of characters and references to the Cold War and Space Race eras. Would recommend.
请一定要开启雷蛇幻彩互联,键盘灯效果太牛逼了
Kosmokrats is a distinctive indie puzzle adventure developed by Pixel Delusion and published by Modern Wolf that combines zero-gravity engineering challenges with sharp political satire and character-driven humor. Set in an exaggerated alternate reality where cosmic ambition and bureaucratic absurdity collide, the game casts players as a low-ranking space operative whose primary duty is to assemble orbital structures using a drone in the vacuum of space. From the outset, Kosmokrats makes it clear that it is less interested in realism or efficiency and more focused on personality, tone, and the tactile joy of problem-solving under unpredictable conditions. The core gameplay revolves around physics-based construction in zero gravity. Players maneuver modular station components that float, spin, and collide realistically, using a drone equipped with push and pull tools to guide them into precise configurations. Each mission presents a specific structural goal, but the path to completion is rarely straightforward. Momentum, rotation, and spatial awareness play a critical role, and even small mistakes can send carefully aligned modules drifting off into space. This emphasis on physics creates a hands-on, almost toy-like feeling, where success comes from learning how objects behave rather than following rigid rules or scripted solutions. As the game progresses, the complexity of these construction challenges steadily increases. New module types, environmental hazards, and tighter constraints demand more deliberate planning and refined control. While early missions serve as a gentle introduction to the mechanics, later stages require players to think several steps ahead, accounting for inertia and collision angles before committing to an action. The difficulty curve can occasionally feel steep, especially for players unfamiliar with physics-driven puzzles, but it also provides some of the game’s most rewarding moments when a particularly unwieldy structure finally snaps into place. What truly sets Kosmokrats apart, however, is its narrative tone. The game is steeped in satire, presenting a parody of space-age propaganda, authoritarian optimism, and institutional incompetence. Between missions, players are treated to voiced cutscenes and interactions with a cast of eccentric characters, each embodying exaggerated ideals of loyalty, ambition, or disillusionment. These story segments are more than decorative; they provide context and motivation, framing each task as part of a larger, often absurd, ideological machine. The humor is dry, sometimes dark, and consistently self-aware, giving the game a strong sense of identity that persists throughout the experience. Visually, Kosmokrats adopts a stylized aesthetic that complements its thematic goals. Characters are rendered with exaggerated proportions and expressive animations, while space environments are functional and uncluttered, ensuring that puzzle elements remain readable. The visual design prioritizes clarity and tone over spectacle, allowing players to focus on construction tasks without distraction. Sound design further reinforces the atmosphere, with voice acting that leans into caricature and a soundtrack that subtly underscores the tension and irony of each mission. The pacing of the game strikes a balance between cerebral challenge and narrative engagement. Puzzle sections demand focus and patience, often encouraging players to pause, reassess, and experiment rather than rush forward. In contrast, story interludes provide moments of levity and reflection, preventing the experience from becoming overly dry or mechanical. This rhythm helps sustain engagement over longer sessions, even though the core mechanic remains consistent throughout the game. Kosmokrats also introduces an element of replayability through branching narrative outcomes. Decisions made during missions and interactions can influence how the story unfolds, leading to different conclusions and reinforcing the sense that player choices matter beyond simple puzzle completion. While these branches do not radically alter gameplay mechanics, they add narrative weight and encourage players to revisit the experience with different approaches or priorities. Despite its many strengths, the game is not without limitations. The physics-based controls, while central to its appeal, can occasionally feel unwieldy or frustrating, particularly when dealing with tight time constraints or delicate assemblies. Some players may find that the mechanics do not evolve dramatically enough over time, leading to a sense of repetition in later stages. However, these issues are largely offset by the game’s strong thematic cohesion and its willingness to fully commit to its unique tone. In the end, Kosmokrats stands as a memorable example of how puzzle design and narrative personality can coexist. It does not aim to be a hyper-polished simulation or a pure logic puzzle, but rather an experience that blends tactile problem-solving with satirical storytelling. For players who enjoy physics-driven challenges, unconventional humor, and games that are unafraid to lean into their own eccentricity, Kosmokrats offers a thoughtful and entertaining journey through the absurdities of space, ideology, and human ambition. Rating: 7/10
