Definitely fell into "the zone" with this one and lost track of time. New cards and card modifications are introduced a little slower than I'd like, but it's a pretty mellow experience with fun D&D vibes. Certainly worth what I paid for it as part of a bundle!
I think it works REALLY well as a mobile title. But honestly, if that's not your thing, the steam version is still enjoyable. It's a pretty fun game, with nice casual strategy (don't expect TOO much of a challenge). But they also dropped a big ol' content update that expanded things quite a lot for free. And I'm always appreciative of that! Here's hoping this game does well enough to expand the game further, and support other fun things Ponywolf is working on. They've been a very pleasant dev to keep an eye on!

It's an easy game to get into and unlike any other rogue-lite card game. The graphics are very nice and for this price, you are getting hours and hours of gameplay! I recently got a Steamdeck (256GB version), and I am currently testing out how well games work on the SteamDeck, etc. So the following points will be about Knights of the Card Table on the StreamDeck!
Fully Playable!
The game is fully playable with just the touchscreen, just the trackpad or right stick, and L2/R2. Of course, this is fully customizable, but as the game mostly relies on mouse interactions, it was very easy to play with the normal SteamDeck controls that were given.
The Good
The graphics definitely do not go to waste on the SteamDeck, the performance worked very well, but after some time the game starts to lag a bit. But after reopening the game, this is not an issue anymore.
The Nuisance
I did not really find any nuisances, the game was fine to play, controls were easy. Overall, it was fun to play, it's fun to play this while traveling if you are riding the bus or just want to relax for a couple of minutes.
If you want to play like the trailer for 2-3 hour just for a battle, buy this. Or you can skip this game. There's a stupid level with more than 3000 cards, with noTHING SURPRISING. Dont waste your time on this game.
Cute mobile port (I think?) of a card-based dungeon crawl with great art. Game is *very* grindy by the end (to an extent that is disproportionate to the pacing of the game, I think), which is a shame.
very fun ~
Plane not fun difficulty seems to be based on dying from so many enemys and getting only crazy rolls otherwise its too easy silly and has down right NO GAME PLAY, should be turned into a rouge like with some extra random and item durability and inventory of some kind, seems more like a senior project than anything professional. I dont understand how this is so popular the art is cute or whatever but the humor is minimal there is no real story, Im not interested in a linear map with clicking over and over till the game ends and I can move on. Sorry but no its boring and awful
- Not a very good fantasy light card game, like a way dumber Slay the Spire or Cardhunter - Would not recommend. I frustratingly probably put quite a bit of time into this one while sick, just because it has an addictive loop and is basically mindless. Good if your brain isn't working well, I guess? I only felt compelled to finish it because of my completionist tendencies. - Cute hand-drawn art style - Similar geeky sense of humor as Cardhunter, but done way worse - Very clear visual language, simple iconography used well - Interesting base mechanics of a line of cards you have to deal with - Flexible in that you can deal with cards in any order, usually - All about managing the cards in play, no deckbuilding - Progression through stat changes - Lots of problems: - So weirdly grindy, takes over 20 hours to beat, should be a tight 6-hour game with tight puzzle dungeons. As is it's really more of a clicker game, very little strategy required - Dungeons are not actually puzzles; they should be! They are just a kind of random assortment of challenges. - Currency quickly becomes irrelevant - Unlocks are not that exciting. Different pawns are super similar. - Doesn't respect the players' time or do anything interesting with the mechanics it creates. I am flabbergasted that they think the player wants to sit though an hour-long dungeon and just mindlessly click the whole time. That said, I did play quite a lot of this haha. - Overall: cute on the surface, interesting potential, mostly squandered
