I really enjoyed the first 2 days but after that the game really started to go down hill. The art and music were great but the story and gameplay became so boring and annoying. How in the world does it have so many positive reviews when I am one of the 16.3% of people who actually finished the game? I have never been soo disappointed after playing a game. 0/10 will not recommend.

Knights and Bikes is like Goonies but: • bikes • 80s vibes • and the most hype goose in gaming history. Honkers forever.
The positive review is by a narrow margin, because there is quite a lot going on in the game, and several parts of it are definitely not at their peak implementation (controls in general, object recognition, some enemies, and more). However, there is good counterbalance in an interesting, not too forced story, a solid solution for the "replay a day" feature, and some nicely unexpected subversions of usual game expectations. The game has a slow start, but turns out to be quite enjoyable towards the end. Fun side note: Other Double Fine games suffered from a poor auto-save feature, whereas this one auto-saves like crazy!
Cute little game to play in coop! The ending left us with more questions than answers. We encountered quite a few bugs as well, but loading the game again fixed them.
Review from 2020: Super cute and wholesome game about a little girl coping with the loss of her mom. The coop AI is very smart, only getting hung up once. Cute cute cute.
I was looking for a game to play with a friend and this game seemed to suit the bill nicely. It's whimsical and fun, and has both co-op elements and light combat. My friend has not been a hardcore, lifelong gamer like myself and I wanted to start with something easier. I also didn't want a game where we were fighting each other or just clobbering everything. Some of the battles were tough, even from the perspective of someone with more experience, but we muddled our way through. Fighting tends to be more strategy than brute force. I liked that neither of us had been exposed to the game before so we got to explore it and figure it out together. My main gripe mechanics-wise is that the bikes were hard to get going and steer, but eventually you get them rolling enough to careen onward. Overall I found the game fun and it made me laugh quite a few times with its innocent humor. I love that the goose follows you around everywhere. It was a nice way to spend a few nights with a friend. The plot is light and a bit generic, but that leaves more room to explore without any pressure. Also, I had a hard time figuring out how to upgrade the bikes early on. If you hit Escape there's an option to do it in the menu! You don't have to be in the bike shop; you can do it anywhere at any time!
Cute, whimsical, and weird. The messy, scrapbook visuals are a delight and I adore the overall tone of the adventure, but the game is mostly style over substance. We got a little bored after just a few hours. Gameplay starts slow and the mechanics it eventually gains aren’t the most interesting ideas. Music seemed to be missing from plenty of scenes. The absence of voice acting can be felt pretty hard here too. Long strings of silence as both players read the on screen text is a vibe that just doesn't fit a co-op game. Maybe adding voices would've also further emphasized the game's fun Britishisms as well. Either way, the time we did spend with the game was an entertaining co-op romp.
One of the best games I've played with my daughter (9yrs old). Engaging story, great coop, you can feel like a child again. There is a magic inside.
