About
Knight Swap is a minimalist puzzle game based on the old chess problem of swapping knights on a board.
The goal in each level is to move the white knights to where the black knights are placed (and vice versa) using the features of the board.
One simple goal, taken to a completely new level of complexity and originality.
100 hand-crafted levels with increasing complexity;
Original designed concept for the board, including partial and complete rotations, trigger buttons, teleportation tiles, and movable parts;
Extremely easy to learn and extremely complex to master;
Originally composed music to help you focus and relax while solving the puzzles;
A fun chess puzzle available to everyone (even to those who have never played chess).

Pleasing minimalist puzzle game with cool mechanics being presented while you keep going ahead. It was a while since I played a game from Minimol Games, and there's no surprise, this is a nice games like the others from the studio. Worth the price!
This would be very relaxing if my graphics card didn't take flight when I played it. I have a 1080. There's no reason a chess game, especially one as simple as this, should use 60-80% of my GPU
67 / 100
Progressing through the sets of puzzles, I found myself rarely getting frustrated despite some puzzles being on the more tricky side. Balanced progression with escalating difficulty. Puzzles design generally avoid pitfalls found in other titles such as being overly large/complex boards or having too many moving pieces which makes these solutions less brute force & more skill based. Look & feel may be like other disposable puzzle games on Steam, simply with a Chess-like rule set this time, but it's not too bad for the asking price. ✔️ Good amount of increasingly challenging content for the price. ✔️ Some clever puzzles, some tricky, some easy .. good mix. ❌ No mouse controls or remapping for flipping board or levers. ❌ Bland sounds & graphics; functional but basic. ❌ Can only undo one move meaning sometimes a full restart is required when you get stuck. ❌ Graphical glitches on the positioning of Knights on the boards occurs infrequently. Wishlisted this cause it looked like a different chess puzzle that I've seen on the store, and I guess I was right! Best dollar i've spent PROS: + Simple, minimalist and relaxing aesthetics ++ Cool set of different color patterns (a relief for me, as I have photofobia) + Reeally atmospheric SFX and BGM + Funny achiev names ++ An impressive well-tailored level progression, with increasing difficulty and breath points, with new mechanics that makes you wanna keep playing to see new things +++ A FKING MINECRAFT EASTER EGG CONS (not so many IMO): - Some bugs occured, like pieces making wrong paths. Just press R and never see the bugs again
Change positions of black and white knights on board. There are used different portals and board flip to make the tasks more interesting. There are some difficult levels between level 25-30, You can see this looking at the achievements too (currently level 20 is 52,7% vs level 30 is 21,9%). Seems like later levels are untested. Level 79 - managed to freeze the level. Level 84 - managed to lose one knight. Level 85 - managed to overlap some floor areas. Last level was a level not easy to forget.
Two knights and their countrymen must overcome their racial differences as they are forced to rule over each other’s kingdoms for a fortnight. Will they recognize similarities between their goals, mindsets, behavioral patterns, abilities, and more, or will they focus on the differences and fail miserably? The Good:

You’ve probably seen other puzzle games that involve moving knights around, but this one manages to be unique.
The puzzles are actually challenging.
Throws a few gimmicks at you to mix things up: moving across different planes/gaps, portals, switches, etc.
The Neutral:

100 levels.
The Bad:

You don’t have much control over the board. It can be rotated 90° at a time, four times. This makes it trickier to see what you need to do in later levels where the board is more crowded.
Pro Tips:

There are a few levels where you can’t really backtrack with certain moves, so you need to actually plan things out. This is especially true in levels that feature switches.
A cursory glance at Knight Swap gives the impression of a simple game. It’s just taking two chess pieces and swapping places, right? Next thing you know, you’re flipping parts of the board, teleporting, and jumping across steps in purgatory. This game is easily worth it, and while I haven’t played the sequel yet, it looks like it gets even crazier.
