The game is cancelled, as the developers (except the game designer) have stated that the information is 100% confirmed, as I'm in contact with them personally. Now they have a new project that will be significantly better than KotD. According to preliminary estimates (our own), development will continue for quite some time, but progress is visible from afar. So, I don't recommend buying it, unless you want to support Lirarm, and keep your fingers crossed for the new game!

Knight of the Dungeon by LyrarmaStudio is a compact roguelike that builds its identity around speed, chaos, and repetition, delivering an experience that feels both familiar and slightly more intense than the genre’s usual offerings. From the moment a run begins, the game throws players into procedurally generated dungeon floors filled with enemies, hazards, and unpredictable layouts. It wastes little time on setup or narrative framing, instead focusing almost entirely on gameplay, where survival hinges on quick reflexes and the ability to adapt to constantly shifting situations. The core loop is straightforward but effective. Each run tasks you with navigating through randomized rooms, defeating enemies, collecting loot, and pushing as far as possible before inevitably falling. Because the layout and enemy patterns change each time, there is a persistent sense of unpredictability that keeps runs from feeling completely repetitive, at least in the early hours. Progress is less about permanent upgrades and more about player improvement, learning how to read enemy attacks, manage space, and react under pressure. This design aligns closely with classic roguelike philosophy, where failure is expected and each attempt contributes to a gradual increase in skill. Combat is the centerpiece of the experience, and it leans heavily into bullet-hell design. Enemies frequently flood the screen with projectiles, forcing players to constantly stay in motion while carefully weaving through tight gaps. This creates a tense and fast-paced rhythm that can be very satisfying once mastered. When everything comes together, there is a strong sense of flow as you dodge incoming attacks and strike back with precision. However, this same intensity can also be a barrier, as the game demands a high level of focus and quick reactions. For players not accustomed to this style, the difficulty can feel abrupt and occasionally overwhelming. The item system introduces an additional layer of strategy, even if it remains relatively simple. Weapons and magical items found during a run can significantly alter how you approach combat, encouraging experimentation with different combinations. The limitation on inventory space adds a meaningful decision-making element, as you are forced to choose which tools best suit your current situation. These choices can have a noticeable impact on how a run unfolds, though the variety of items currently available does not feel extensive enough to fully sustain long-term experimentation. Where the game begins to show its limitations is in overall content and progression. While the procedural generation helps extend replayability, the pool of environments, enemies, and encounters is still fairly small. Over time, patterns begin to repeat, and the sense of discovery fades. There is also a lack of deeper systems or long-term goals that would give players a stronger reason to keep returning beyond improving their performance. The foundation is solid, but it feels like only part of a larger vision that has yet to be fully realized. Visually, the game adopts a pixel art style that is clean and functional, prioritizing clarity during chaotic combat sequences. The environments are easy to read, which is essential given the number of projectiles and enemies on screen, but they do not stand out in terms of artistic uniqueness. The same can be said for the sound design, which supports the action without adding much personality. Everything works as intended, but nothing significantly elevates the presentation beyond its basic purpose. Despite these shortcomings, there is a clear sense of potential running through the game. The mechanics are responsive, the core loop is engaging, and the overall design shows an understanding of what makes roguelikes compelling. There are hints of additional ideas, such as interactions with characters and the possibility of expanding the world, that suggest the game could grow into something more substantial with further development. As it stands, it feels like a project that has laid a strong groundwork but has not yet reached the level of depth or variety needed to fully stand out. In the end, Knight of the Dungeon offers a focused and occasionally thrilling roguelike experience that shines most in short bursts. Its fast-paced combat and unpredictable runs make it easy to pick up and play, but its limited content and lack of progression systems prevent it from maintaining long-term engagement. Players who enjoy challenging, reflex-driven gameplay will find moments of genuine excitement here, while others may see it as an interesting but incomplete experience. Rating: 6/10
Скелет маг сниться мне в кошмарах 10 сгоревших жоп из 10
Где нормальная воёвка? Ааа!?!?!? Еже ли вы не изволите её добавить, то мне придётся потрудится чтобы залить прецовкой разработчиков данной игры
Developer doesnt seem to care or realize that the game needs gamepad support, auto attack and auto aim. The auto aim and auto attack should be options only..for disabled folks.....and a toggle on and off mechanic, in the options menu. Auto aim and auto attack, will help the bad aiming, targeting, and movement issues in this game. This game could be amazing if it had those 3 things and despite the developer saying he did an update....nothing is actually better that I can see...it remains in this condition. The changes are not enough given that nothing is explained in the game as to what to do. No tutorial, the npc at the beginning says like 2 words thats it. Then you walk around aimlessly till you see some shops...that are not usable...you cant even click on them. There is a portal that you go in....and you earn a crazy low amount of coins, while you try to kill the overly powerful monsters around you. Its just a bad game...and even funnier....there is a guy in the forums for this game...saying he is friends with the dev...and not to buy the game lol. I mean...what? If these things are fixed and the game is cleaned it up, I will change my reivew to positive...in the belief that humans have it in them to change. Hopefully.
