Staring at a cat's ass all the whole time. Collect mouse corpses while inexplicable explosions happen along the walls. Dash around various house levels in this early access affair. It's a bit rough, but could probably get better with updates. https://youtu.be/fNCdc-r2TFk
The concept of the game is what makes it so enjoyable, it got me hooked from the first minute. It`s fun, hilarious and challenging in the same time. The game, while still in early access, has surprisingly few and irrelevant bugs, but there is room for game mechanic improvements. Also, the guy behind the game is an active dev that do cares about players' suggestions. I recommend this game to those that wanna take a break from the all-mighty FPS games.
Kitten Madness is an early access game, so still in development. To put it simply, it is a parkour game with a kitten, playable on several levels like the living room, the stairs, the garden, the cemetery ...) 7 levels are currently available. I leave a review after 3 hours of play, having tested the game as is (January 2, 2018): The positive points : - There is a few music tracks but the rock and tonic melodies give a good energy to the atmosphere of the game, in my opinion. - The game is pretty nervous, and the kittens are as cute as crazy. - We feel progress quickly, the grip on the mouse and the keyboard is pretty good. - Some obstacles are amazing (explosion of power outlets) - Some kitten skins are too cute, and the zombie kitten is creepy: D The negative points : - Successes that are not unlocked despite the fact that we did well what we need (unlocking cats and levels) - The timer starts even before we can move - The "GO" starts although we can already move the kitten - Some jumps are sometimes very very frustrating (the skateboard jump which is nearly impossible to do), and the lateral or rear rebounds which are not really justified) - The painful "bounce" of the kitten on the second and third level stair support bar. Sometimes even the kitten stops, blocked by an imaginary, invisible thing. - As announced, the game is functional, the aesthetics and ergonomics of the interface have not yet been addressed. - Impossibility of playing on the controller - One kitten customization is just a red skin barely darker than the other red kitten, which I do not find interesting - The cemetary level is so big...and so empty... so is level 6 with a looooong desertic track. They look totally unfinished. - We are shown the possibility of having bonus abilities (boost / gravity ...) but there is no explanation that shows us how to get them. Are they not only available at this stage of game development? I want to say yes because we can see a bit of them in the trailer. If that's not the case, I do not even understand why it's on the screen. - Big bug in the levels where it is necessary to bring the ball of wool in the hole. If the kitten falls in the hole, we are forced to wait until the end of the timer, no more command responds. - The attack on the ball of wool has really random effects. It goes from the small push to the jump of 4 meters high of the ball. - Impossibility to press a Retry button, you must always return to the menu. It breaks the rhythm. I see this content as worthy of a small free demo, rather than an early access. There is still a lot of work to be done on content and aesthetics. When I see what other independent developers are offering in early access, I'm disappointed with Kitten Madness. I can not recommend it as it stands, but I'll follow it very closely and I hope the updates will come soon. - sorry for eventual grammar mistakes -
This game has jank but a lot of heart. It's actually a lot of fun to play and one I am looking forward to playing more of -- just a hard recommend. https://youtu.be/UirdCnHAm4M

Very fun for what it is. A little wonky, but I figure they'll get that all worked out before the final release. I can't believe there aren't more games where you can play as a cat, since cats power the Internet. I also have "Cat's Yarn", which is all open world, but kinda boring. Very limited map and all the same, and you can't even walk the cat under a parked car, which is something cats do when they're outside. Suggestions: 1. Have the up-high mice worth more than the ones on the ground. Otherwise there's no incentive to risk death and use fuel to get to them. 2. Have an option to turn off possibility to die. That will make some cat lovers sad and they won't play. Give the option to change that to a time out or loss of mice or something. 3. Give an option (or a cheat) to just skip the levels and go play as a cat and run around the map. From the start. 4. Other music options. The driving metal is fun, but gets old quick. I'd even contribute some music free, and I make cool weird stuff. Devs can contact me on here. Maybe make the non-death option fun, like you have to go run around the open world for 5 minutes (maybe as a ghost cat?) #SandBox #LitterBox #GoodFun
