I'm honestly very surprised that this game hasn't received more attention. The premise is unique, the characters are all very well done, the voice acting actually made me tear up at one point and the story is all in all very enjoyable. The dialogue had me laughing fairly often and there wasn't a single character that I ended up disliking. Honestly, I'd say the only real complaint I have is I still have no idea how to go about getting the final fifth ending for each character. Do play if: - you're looking for unique character backstories and story lines - you enjoy unraveling mysteries - you're looking to feel a spectrum of emotions - you enjoy exploring multiple endings Don't play if: - you're looking for a one and done run with only one character - you don't like octopi
Kiss/OFF is one of the most fun and engaging dating sims I've played in a really long time. It really feels like the people behind this game knew EXACTLY the vibe they wanted to capture, and they did so wonderfully. With a really cute artstyle and a unique premise that has lots of fun queer characters, there really is a lot to enjoy here! I was initially worried that I would grow tired of the game and its concept quickly while trying to view all the possible events and endings, but the game truly charmed me with it's quirky characters and very fun game mechanics. Having to figure out what specific actions and choices would lead to new content was super engaging. Like a real game show, I felt like there really were fun surprises at every turn (Thanks Xargazorg) so I was never bored at any point. If I had to say any negatives I would say that the writing and comedy might not be for everyone's tastes as it can be very silly, but as a certified Silly Enjoyer I can proudly say it was definitely made for me. If you are on the fence about buying this game: Please just buy it. Support these devs because honestly this game is super under-priced for the amount of content you're getting here. Kiss/OFF definitely deserves more attention from VN fans across the Milky Way Galaxy.
So they killed off the love interest I selected within the first half an hour of the game. Doesn't really give me motivation to keep playing, you know?
Love this so much! Each characters are well written with their own struggles and cute quirks. The game also offers unique way of replayability that I didn't expected. I can see myself throwing tons of hours into it to get every single character ending, with how fun and fleshed out the characters are.
10/10, my bisexual butt fell in love with each character.
I love the art, the characters, everything! It's also super cool that every new playthrough can add to the story. It was very enjoyable and all the endings were super interesting. The partial voice acting also really added to the experience
This is a great game. The art style is really charming and the dialogue/plot offers a lot of gameplay without being clunky. I look forward to what this studio puts out in the future!
From an amazing soundtrack to an unforgettable cast of unique characters, Kiss/OFF has it all. I honestly could not recommend this game more. If there is one indie visual novel that I think deserves more attention, then it would be this one. Xargazorg could also get all my smoochies
This game is so fun!! I've played the demo so when the full game was released I purchased it without hesitation. I've only started getting into it, but I can say it's already SO much more than you would expect! The story line has twists, layers and depth!!!! The story line and character design are so on point, and you really fall for the different characters you get to know. LOVE the illustrations - I can see the quality and care put into making this game with all the possible collectible illustrations. Excited to continue playing!!!!
A super easy recommend, because Kiss/OFF is a LOT of fun, I had a blast! After 11 hours I am missing one ending and half of the achievements. Accidentally spoiler'd myself for the "bad" true ending so I pursued that first and then the "good" one and the story of the game going from bad to good was super satisfying. I love the characters (literally all of them except the antagonist, that character is annoying...) and how different the dynamics feel with all of them! All dateable characters have moments I really enjoy, both in "good" and "bad" routes. Repetition is built into the story in a way that makes it so there's a reason you're going through the same scenes again and again, but while there's a skip button there's also plenty of moments where it feels like you've already seen it but the game won't let you skip (minor annoyance in the gameplay imo), but I liked the graphics, the music, and the writing a lot! There's a lack of guides on Steam but playing through it mostly blind was fun to me too, and I don't know if I want to go back and achievement hunt, because it ended on SUCH a high note I want this to be the "end" of the story. The "good" true ending is amazing!
