Just shy of 80 hours in and this is an easy recommend.
I wanted to finish the game before making a review but I'm currently away from my pc and my laptop can't run this however I've enough downtime to give reviewing this game a swing. Since I'm late to the party I'll make this a bit different, there are a ton of reviews already and I'd just be chewing someone else's tobacco so I'mma bring up some less in-your-face aspects of the game. I'll be talking about the standard experience, not the hardcore modes. Tl;dr at the end.
First!
I'm fairly busy nowadays and have been chipping away at KCD2 for a good while now. I have maybe around 1h30-2h a day for gaming, maybe double on Sunday, and I haven't had a dull moment. It's a great "pick up and go" game as there are a ton of activities you can engage in. From side quests to general activities like horse racing, archery content, increasing skills to more META activities like breaking the game's economy by making a gratuitous amount of money in one night just stealing from from rich people, there's always something you can plan on doing with your time however limited. So if you've been put off from the game thinking you'd never have the time to play it, that's not the case. Everything you do helps you move forward, side quests aren't very long, I struggle to remember one that overstayed its welcome and activities make you stronger even when you fail. To finish the base game I'd need around 120 to 140 hours clearing all the side quests, a rough estimate considering I've had some idle downtime and loaded some older saves as I didn't like some of the outcomes. This is just the base game, the DLCs are quite a bit longer.
Second!
The game is split in two regions, which you can revisit at any time. There's one area you can't go back to after an event but the game warns you beforehand and tells you which quests won't be available. Playing through all the content in the first area, you'll have had a taste for the entire game. The second area is quite a step up in difficulty both in terms of combat and skill checks but if you didn't enjoy the first part, the only thing the second will offer is a more difficult experience and wider set of tools as you have access to late game items.
Third!
The main story's quite thrilling and while it's better to have played the first game, it's not entirely required. I never finished KCD1 but had watched a few recaps and KCD2 does a good job telling you what happened in the first game. You can also decide the outcome of certain events as Henry gets asked what happened and you decide the answer.
Four!
Break the game! I'm not joking. This game runs on jank and is begging for you to punch it wide open. DO.NOT.BE.SHY.ABOUT.BREAKING.THE.GAME I know it's metagaming but many of the game's systems run on a prayer. Money, for example is something that you need and you need a lot of. You can either make it slowly and tediously or you can have a bit of fun and make a lot of it for a smoother experience. I'mma list a few things you can do to make the game incredibly fun by breaking it near the end of the review.
Five!
I've been wanting to speak about this because I've talked to a bunch of people and they all cite the combat as being a big pain point so. The game starts Henry as being incredibly weak. The combat is a decent part of the game and it's normal that it's hard at the start. Don't be discouraged. One thing that I LOVE about the game is exactly that you notice how much better Henry becomes as you level up. Archery isn't always a complicated to aim, wobbly experience. Henry becomes increasingly more steady the more the skill increases. Combat isn't always slow and clunky, Henry not only learns new combos but becomes faster at swinging his weapons and better at feints. I also have a feeling that armour affects how quick you are in combat so it comes down to a healthy dose of experimentation. Lastly you're told to visit Master Tomcat at the start, it's a side quest. He's a very healthy boost to your fighting performance. After his tutorial you're good to deal with most of the non armoured bandits and even some of the armoured ones. Go from there.
Simple stuff you can do to break the game wide open in the opening hours of the game:
1.
When the actual game starts after leaving the pillory, iykyk, talk to the Romani girl to get a few pointers and go straight to the tailor. If you see him inspecting his wares and not leaning on the counter, save the game, stealth behind him and knock him out, do NOT kill him. Make sure you're not seen! Close his shop's door and steal his money and some clothing high value clothing. Do not equip anything, people will know you've stolen the items. Leave the shop and leave the starting town, go Westward until you reach Zhelejov Wagoner's Inn.

This place is the best! It's close to Bozhena's place where you can train alchemy, we'll get to that real soon, you can buy a room to sleep and have your own chest to store stuff, and you can train stealth and thievery during the night as you walk around sleeping npcs in stealth mode and go around pickpocketing.

Reason you want to get to this place is that you can store your stuff there and wait for two days. After two days, the areas reset, meaning the Tailor you robbed won't remember you and you can sell the clothing items that don't have a red hand icon back to him... And then rob him again!

This works for every shop. All you need to do is not be seen choking the npc. Just be careful, I believe that if a town sees you as a criminal, the rules change a little bit. But by being a stealthy boy you won't have to fret.
2.
Level alchemy early. You just need to spam Saviour Schnapps, which if you're anything like me you'll need a ton of anyway since that's your save. Get Dark Arts Apprentice at lvl 12 and Secret of Secrets at lvl 16. Between 0:00 and 4:00 in-game, you'll be able to easily make "Henry's" level potions which is the highest level.

Now for a bit of metagaming. Check the recipe for the Fox Potion online. I believe you can only get it in the second areaa but if you just make the potion you'll "discover" it. Fox makes levelling so much more enjoyable as I believe "Henry's Fox Potion" increases all levelling by 50% for TWO DAYS. Have this buff active at all times and cruise to level 30 by the time you start stomping around in the second area.
3.
Just steal. Go into towns at night, naked if you have to, and steal from npcs. They usually have a chest that has their entire earnings if you don't want to use the "store and wait for two days" method. Just don't be seen by guards.
Bonus:
If you get the dlcs there's three that give you decent light and heavy armor and shields. Use them. You get them automatically when you get a permanent chest, you can get one early by doing the blacksmith's quest. The heavy armour is a scavenger hunt. By the time you reach the second part they won't be too good.
Tl;dr: KCD2 is an amazing game. It's very well rounded and manages to marry interactive storytelling, action gameplay and rpg seamlessly. I hope more games give me the sense of progression this game does and I'm eying Gothic Remake as I know that's a thing there too. As a busy person, I love how KCD2 respects my time by giving me smaller activities that I can tackle depending on how much time I have available that evening, it's just that great a sandbox. I rate it "Our hero Henry"/10
Bestes Spiel, was jemals gemacht wurde.
Fantastic game. Best part: Getting drunk with the Cumans - You work through that trauma, Henry.

Geniales Spiel. Kann man auch spielen ohne Teil eins gespielt zu haben. Das Schmiede-DLC ist auch sehr gut, die anderen muss man nicht haben.
