IM QUITE HUNGRY
Great game with some major flaws. Overall, living as Henry is a thrill ride with many ups and numerous downs. Theres a steep learning curve that takes significant patience and after the 2 hour tutorial, add another 3 or 4 hours to that and you'll start to understand the design of this world. My main problem is that several quests are tedious with tons of pointless back and forth travel (Cumin questline) and endless gibbering (pointless drinking contest also at Cumins). Also, the combat is a tremendous bummer and I try to skip it as often as possible. Combat somewhere between this and Skyrim, and Itd be so much better. Minigames are fun/original and building your skills while strategically using perk points is interesting. There's a profound lack of polish all over the place with constant invisible walls and irregular NPC movements during combat. Standing there having a stare down for seconds waiting for stamina to recharge... there's many things that could improve the slog of this melee system. Animations are just too slow more often than not. 6/10 its a great first time play but compared to witcher 3 or cyberpunk, there's no comparison. Perhaps budget is part of this discrepancy, but the clunky slowness of everything can be cumbersome.

I want to say this game is amazing and great. Lots of quests, things to do. I love the weak become strong type. That being said, I find the beginning of the game where Henry and Hans run away from bandits *extremely* frustating. At the rocks, I crouched and tried to go back to Hans to report the passage. I saw the bandits where Hans was but my journal didn't update and still told me to go back to the original position. I got spotted and it was pretty much a death sentence after that. If you are spotted, you can't "hide" yourself again. I ran and saw Hans but couldn't get the game to trigger. After some deaths (Jesus be praised), I realized I have to just ignore that prompt to return to Hans at the rocks and just keep going. I wish the quest can be clearer or trigger as soon as I see the bandits where Hans was. That was NOT beginner-friendly and to put that type of difficulty where you die multiple times right at the start is too difficult.
