Had an awesome adventure.
killing time resurrected is release of a 1995 supernatual horror shooter orinally released on the panisonic 3do and for pc this new remaster is combination of both version rebuilt from the group up by night dive studios which done such a great job bring old school and forgotten titlesback to life. Stroy Tess conway countess of the conway estate will stop at nothing to preserve her youth and the water clock an Ancient Egyptian atrifact is all she needs but first she needs to have to a ritual preformed by having her organs place in 10 scared vessels each containing a part of her to gain imortality but as always something goes horribly wrong the all of the estates occupents have being turned in either zombies or restless spirits everything from bootlegger thugs to gardners to clowns, house keepers double headed poodles, zombie ducks, skeletons and many others. You plays as a former Egyptology student tasked with desrtoying the water clocks and uncoverying the truth surounding the disaperence of the island inhabitances. Gameplay . You need to collect the 10 vessels containing tess conways remains all colour coded and 8 coloured keys to open various doors you will also go switch hunting in order to unlck certain areas to progress the island has arange of areas to explore and fight off many enemies speaking enemies you will need some fire power well the game has a good selection of wepons ranging from melee weapons such as the crowbar and knife to pistols which can duel wielded a shotgun, tommygun, flamethrower, molotof cocktails and an a Ankh which serves as this game bfg.The story of the game is told through ghostly apperitions of the former inhabitants it gives the players a detailed backstory to what happend before everything went wrong. Sound and voice acting. The sound in this game good from the sound of the weapons to the enemies each having their own unique voicelines when alerted to youre presence like i said before the inhabitants will comunicate with the player and certain areas when you a encounter a ghost saying help me it can be annoying once you have listened to the story segments when back tracking through areas to find keys or vessels or finding the doors that need keys so hearing help me over and over can abit annoying but atleas the game tells and interesting story so its fine i guess. Verdict.Would i recomend this game well yes i enjoying getting the opertunity to play obscure games that never had a chance to shine back in day so im grateful nightdive does what they do and bringing these old classic or obscure games back from the dead this game is fans of fps games from the ninties and this one makes for a great addition to youre collection Rating 8\10 good game only annoying part was the second to last boss constantly teleporting around while trying to desroy the 6 mirros at the end otherwise i had blas playing this.
On the second level, or whatever, where you need to find an invitation. I got completely stuck in the maze of a level. The map is no help whatsoever. Why was this game remastered? It's pretty trash. More importantly why did I spend $4 on it? Oh well, money wasted, move on.
Killing Time: Resurrected is a fun romp through boomer shooter history. Beautifully remastered by Nightdive Studios (as per usual), this game is just brimming with charm, which makes it hard to believe that this game seems to have gone relatively under the radar when it first released. The odd mix of animation and real actors is perhaps the game's strongest point, it creates such a unique setting and vibe that really hooked me into the world in a way I haven't been hooked in a long time. Each enemy feels unique, and the design is so odd that you can't help but remember it. As for the gunplay, I would honestly say this is one of the weaker points in the game. The guns are exactly what you would expect them to be, which I think hurts the zaniness they were going for with this game. You kill each enemy in essentially the same way, meaning there is no reason apart from ammo concerns to switch weapons or anything of the sort. *IMPORTANT NOTE*: I had no idea that you were able to use the vessels you find throughout the game as items, you need to use the [ and ] keys to toggle between them and ENTER to use them, and honestly they probably would have made the gameplay feel better than it did for me. Make sure to read the controls very carefully, there is no tutorial or anything of the sort. The map design was absolutely fantastic, with its sprawling open world it rewards a good memory and an explorer's mindset. It's easy to get lost at times, but you'll always find your way back to a familiar area eventually. There is never a wrong way to go, with rewards awaiting everywhere. On this note, the game essentially boils down to being a key-finding simulator with 20(!!) keys that are required to progress through the story. If this sounds like a bore to you they are admittedly quite easy to find, and you will likely find them all just by playing through the map, although if you do happen to miss one like I did it can get very frustrating figuring out where you missed it. My biggest gripe with the game is that I really wish there were either different or less frequent voicelines. Each enemy seems to have exactly one noise that they make in each situation, which can become annoying when you're killing 20 of the same type of enemy in a row. The worst offender of this is definitely Tess' ghost, which is scattered perhaps 50 times around the map, repeating "Help me!" every 5 seconds if you are within earshot, which you very frequently will be. These usually serve as indicators of where you can watch a ghost interaction, but my goodness does it ever get annoying when you're lost in the mansion and Tess won't stop asking you for help. Overall I do definitely recommend this game, I had a blast playing it!
The original had its flaws, but I think this remaster makes the overall package much worse and misses the point. The enemy spritework looks like a poor AI imitation that lacks any of the creepiness it once had, all of the details are too small to make anything out. The more modernized controls should be enjoyable, but they make the large open areas feel incredibly tedious and barren, plus they also take away from the atmosphere of the original, which relied on its slow pace to make you feel tense. When the game isn't designed as one big obstacle anymore, it's just not engaging. The tight corridors meant to keep you on-edge in the original just become annoyingly cramped twists and turns that meander rather than leading you toward anything.
3DO版が遊べるようになったと聞いちゃあやるしかねえべよ もう何も文句はないっす最高!ありがとう!
this is the only good way to play this cool FPS explorer game. If it is cheao then give this a go. RECOMMENDED!!!
Killing Time: Resurrected is masterfully revamped by Nightdive Studios. I remember playing the OG Killing Time on a handful of instances. I liked it then and I mostly like it now. I think my big issue is the game like most games of the 90s (Hexen, DOOM, Duke Nukem etc), suffer from massive time wasting whether that's back tracking or tedious puzzles. KT:R suffers from NOT KNOWING WHERE THE HELL TO GO! There is absolutely no indicators on what locations to go to and in what order, so you end up with dead ends requiring a key to move forward. Problem is once you've cleared areas enemies don't respawn so you are left with huge gaps of empty areas. It's just not fun, the only real way to play the game is use a guide. I'm a stickler on NOT using guides for the first play throughs of a game. If you have to use one to figure out what to do, I'm not going to be giving the game a thumbs up. HOWEVER, since this is a old game it'll get a pass. I think KT:R is worth buying especially if you grew up on these 90s FPS shooters. Oh and one last note, the music for KT:R is wonderful!
С патчем 2.0 в ремастер добавили кампании как из оригинальной PC-версии, так и 3DO, так что спустя полтора года комплект получился отличный.
