Fun game, well worth the 90% discount at $2.99
This game is a hard one to review. Not sure if i would recommend it or not. Played for 106 hours way back before coming back to it, so i must of liked it. However. There are some flaws here. 1. Sprinting is not a thing, There is a sprint animation and your character does move faster, but only like 1-2% faster. So i can hardly call it a run not even a jog. 2. Hit detection / hitboxes and hit registration is not the greatest. You can aim down sight on an enemy and it will just go straight through them without dealing any damage whatsoever. It is also quite easy to get blocked by either enemies or objects. 3. Fall damage from small drops. For some reason you take fall damage from heights that should not hurt you, Drop down one flight of stairs and you lose 10hp. 4. Enemies will both spawn and teleport to you. Yes this is one of those games were enemies will just spawn on you or right next to you. They will also teleport, so if you "run" one way, the enemies that were behind you will now magiaclly be up ahead. Obviously really annoying. 5. Creating your own lobby is super wonky. For god knows what reason, it will try to find an online match. It makes absolutely no sense and makes it harder to make a private games with your friends. 6. Bullet time is incredibly annoying. It is clearly a relic of the past and a poorly implementet one at that. Bullet time gives you zero advantages and there is no cooldown between them so you can chain them. I swear bullet time slows you down more than the enemies. Also if you were unlucky enough to start reloading when bullet time starts, then you are pretty much stuck in a froozen animation, because that is how slow reloading is in Bullet time. It is that slow that it feels like you are froozen. 7. Melee sucks. There is a melee class and i do not know why because they are useless. Enemies attacks faster than you and using your syringe to heal yourself seems to be slower as stowing your melee weapon for some reason takes longer than a gun. You are weak as a wet noodle and the supposed lifesteal perk is not doing it. This game is fun and worth it (For the right price) But with the slugish movement and the teleporting enemies, frustration is guaranteed.
