Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 20 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
What are a ruler’s duties? Managing wars? Meddling in the intrigues among advisors? Deciding production in villages and cities? In this game, you can do all of that and much, much more. Inspired by the work of the great historian Ibn Khaldun, who is regarded as the founder of sociology, this game will teach you how the course of history unfolds.
Let us take a look at some of the game’s core mechanics:

Whether you are raiding a village, laying siege to a city, or engaging an enemy state in open battle, the sword rules all. But without tactical planning, all of it is meaningless! Watch the battle unfold in real time (yes, in ASCII graphics), where terrain, morale, army composition, and tactical decisions can decide whether your army returns victorious or vanishes into history.

Just like in real life, you can talk with your commanders and advisors about state affairs, but remember: every conversation affects your relationship with them. Be careful not to earn their hatred, or they may start plotting behind your back!

The game’s most unique mechanic. You have never seen anything like it in another strategy game, yet in real life it surrounds you at every moment, even if you do not realize it. Asabiyyah is a key concept in Ibn Khaldun’s theory of history and will affect many aspects of your kingdom.
As prosperity rises, luxury increases, but asabiyyah declines; and an empire with weak asabiyyah is destined to collapse.
-Ibn Khaldun

Villages are responsible for food and raw material production, while cities produce specialty goods and art. Reckless conquest can lead you into chaos, because every region has its own area of specialization. You must prepare a conquest plan that suits your strategy.
Khaldun is a very detailed strategy-management game. Even if you do not notice it, the systems behind the game change according to your decisions. There are many more features in the game that I cannot describe here. I tried to create the most realistic experience possible for players, and I hope you enjoy it.

I am not a big strategy game player, so take this as coming from an outsider to the genre. Overall, it feels deep enough to really get into, but simple enough to play without any need to look up instructions. That's a great foundation to work with. On the concerning side, I feel like it is pushing or at least implying that I go to war. The word war is highlighted in red right from the beginning. Maybe I am misunderstanding the intent, but the games I tried all had "conquering all the world" as their end goal, and they were the ones highlighted in green. I see that this might be a very dumb complaint, I feel kind of dumb writing it. Is that just an expectation of the genre, or am I missing the less aggressive styles of play that might be available?
Little bit of labor to learn the systems and to navigate but it is a wonderful kingdom simulation. It is cheaper than it should be.

Great game for few a hours. After winning once i fell like there is only 1 right way to victory. Still well worth its price.
