This game was fantastic until you had to run for your life. Everything before that was great. Dunno what happens after because that one level is just out of nowhere and stupid.
Good Backrooms game! Let's start with the "OK" parts: The graphics are good, but sometimes a bit uneven. The VHS effect is great, but some object (such as the grammophone) are not as realistic as the rest. The intro is cheesy and superfluous, but it's very short so it's easy to disregard it. Now the GREAT parts. What really drew me in are these two things that the dev nailed imo: - The walking speed. Lots of other games have you fly around the levels, when this one has a realistic walking speed (you can also run if you want). Exploring the backrooms at walking speed is an unnerving experience, and this nails it. - The sound! It's definitely the highlight of the game for me, and I can tell a lot of care has gone into it. I played only the first level for now, it took me about 40 minutes. If you like backrooms games that feel immersive and oppressive, without jump scares*, try this one! Works great on Linux with SteamPlay/Proton! * reminder; I only played the first level, so I can't account for the lack of jump scares in the rest of the game!

Updated review: Had a few issues, contacted dev. Received immediate response. Dev really helpful. Really great game with fun objectives and levels. Interesting environments and spaces to explore. I am enjoying the game so it's a 10/10 from me and worth the price. It's obvious a lot of work went into the game. The issues I had were minor. I wasn't able to crouch but it didn't effect the game-play. I highly recommend this game if you like backrooms style games.
A project with great potential, but there are many flaws: Too much walking: Most levels are so big that the player just has to hold their W key and do something else. Level design: Some levels feel empty and unfinished, some come with flaws Graphics: overall the visual part of the game is fine, but the lack of graphic settings is really, really frustrating since the player only has a choice between "Performant" and "Balanced". The lack of enemies/dangers: there aren't any (if we don't count level Run For Your Life) And overall, this game is really, really good and i do recommend getting it.
Ended up really liking this one. Wide variety of levels, including several I haven't seen in other games, and they're varied in size. I think the first level was the only one I felt like I could really get lost in. The rest of them I felt I could get a sense of the entire map after a bit. That is neither a positive nor a negative, just an observation. Walking and running speeds both felt reasonable. My biggest complaint is that there's no level select. I accidentally exited the shopping area and would like to go back to explore some more, but I don't necessarily want to play the entire game again up to that point. Second biggest complaint is a tie: (1) the blurriness is difficult to tolerate after a bit and it doesn't seem to respond to any graphics setting changes, and (2) can't disable the head bob, but it actually isn't that bad after a bit. I am someone who typically hates entities in games. This game has two and I'm actually OK with them since they're the two kinds of entities I can live with. 1.
Kitty in Kitty's House. It slowly moves toward you but it doesn't appear to actually do anything when it catches up to you, so it's not a hindrance to exploration.
2.
The classic run for your life level has smilers chasing you. I can live with it because avoiding them is the entire point of the level, and it's not a walking sim or exploration level.
If I recall correctly, save points are at the beginning of each level, which feels reasonable. Highly recommended overall despite the lack of level select.
A very fantastic amazing liminal backrooms experience that will have you exploring many realistic areas and having fun. There are a great number of levels that are very big. Overall 10/10 and i figured out how to beat it! I really loved the mall level and the final one
