Infinite Innocence is a game about finding anomalies, but it is very easy to see them with lighting. What if we give it a little more difficulty and tension? Will you be able to remember everything until the end?
Sinopsis

In this one a "humorous" tamagotchi talks to you in Spanish between rooms. You're also asked to identify the anomaly, which is a nice change. But it's still the same frustrating, low-effort gameplay that the entire genre suffers from.
RECOMMENDED
This game aims to be something similar to The Exit 8 but improves on some aspects. In The Exit 8, there was always the issue that if you didn't know whether there was an anomaly or not, it could feel like a guessing game and unsatisfying. Here, however, you are required to find and select the anomaly to "eliminate" it, which enhances the gameplay significantly. Another improvement is in terms of difficulty. I like how they structured the progression system, with three phases each containing 16 anomalies. The first phase is great for learning as they are easy. In the second phase, they start to get more challenging, and while you might get stuck on some, it remains enjoyable despite the challenge. The third phase introduces a Souls-like genre aspect, likely inspired by Elden Ring, making it very difficult. However, as you learn along the way, you get hooked and eventually overcome them. I really enjoyed it and recommend it, but there are areas that could be improved. During gameplay, I often wondered if a hallway contained anomalies, but it never did. They should make this clearer. Also, the mechanic of assigning the anomaly can only be done once per level. If you fail in your selection, you can only pass through the door without it counting, but I'm not completely convinced by this mechanic in case of player error. In any case, I recommend it for the price and if you enjoy this genre.
POSITIVE POINTS:
- Infinite Innocence is not just any anomaly game: it is a test of cunning and determination. - Its length is well above the genre. - Its voice acting is outstanding, and it looks like a lot of fun, but it is not in English. - It has an outstanding progression system, with three stages containing 16 anomalies each. The first phase is perfect for newcomers to the genre, with anomalies fairly easy to spot, while in the second phase the anomalies become challenging and will cost us more to hit them. But the third phase...
NEGATIVE POINTS:
- ... it's the Dark Souls of anomaly games: only for experts! Ideal for those who enjoy a good challenge to our perfeption; less patient players will find so much difficulty frustrating. - It is translated into English, but it is not dubbed into English: it's a pity because the dubbing looks very funny. - The in-game signs are also not in English, although they are not necessary to enjoy the game. - If you suffer from motion sickness, the game may make you dizzy.
CONCLUSIONS:
Infinite Innocence is more than just an anomaly quest game. It is a mental challenge that pushes us to look closer and think deeper. Each level takes us to a new, same but different place full of hidden mysteries, waiting to be discovered. Although the difficulty may push some players back, it is precisely thanks to it that every victory will feel like a personal achievement.
EVALUATION:
9/10. With a very original setting in the genre, an outstanding progression system in terms of difficulty and an incredible dubbing, Infinite Innocence becomes a must for lovers of anomalies.
Honestly the game is quite boring overall. Everything felt really basic and the anomalies weren't interesting enough to make me want to play the game more. Pros: + Good ground work for an anomaly game + The Tamagochi is sometimes funny + Actually identifying the anomaly is a nice mechanic Cons: - You "exterminate" anomalies but they still show up - The Tamagochi is annoying after a while - You lose all your progress when getting it wrong which is okay but having 16 anomalies seems a bit too much at the start - The premise is uninteresting, normally these games have some form of story or scenario built around the anomalies, I think this is just a test - I can only assume the wall art is AI art Steam Curator Page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/10995314-Szamer%2527s-Collection/?appid=3764200
