Great game. Feels a lot like Full Throttle and even has some references to it as well. Some of the dialogue writing felt off, but for the most part it's really good and has an excellent conclusion. Word of warning though. The game can crash when on the travel screen pretty frequently. Be sure to save pretty often so you do not lose progress.
Short and sweet point & click adventure. The puzzle are fun and never too complicated, always with a logical solution, the atmosphere is pretty neat with nice a pixel art and moody soundtrack and the voice acting is surprisingly excellent for a small game like that. The mystery is intriguing, treading the line between what may be real or not, although it ended up leaving things a bit too vague and unresolved for my tastes.
If there was a neutral option, I would probably use that, but as it is, I don't know if I would recommend this game to anyone outside of a very specific audience, and even then, there are other games I would recommend first. It's really the most 5/10 game I can think of. Not great, not terrible. Nice concepts, mediocre execution. Voice acting is passable but nothing to write home about. Puzzles aren't too hard, but not especially engaging either. The central mystery is somewhat engaging, but also very derivative in certain areas and gets a little repetitive and half baked near the end. It wears its influences, especially its Twin Peaks influences, on its sleeve, but it doesn't really have anything to say about or add to those influences, aside from "wasn't Twin Peaks cool?" The Kathy character is also one of the more annoying game protagonists I've encountered, which made the game a chore to get through by the end. I don't mind a snarky character, but she's a very millennial epic bacon Twitter user snarky character, which gets old FAST. It also makes me question why the game is set in the 90s if the character is going to speak and act like she lives in 2016 (which is when the game was released). Overall I can't say I hated my time with this game or that I regret playing it, but I also can't say I especially enjoyed it or that I would recommend it to anyone else, at the very least not at full price.
Simple game, which took me back to a lot of the old Sierra and other point and click games I used to love. Interesting story, quirky with some fun humour. Voice acting was actually pretty good for a game like this. If you like the old style point and clicks, give it a go, it's worth a few quid - often on sale now.
Cute game. The story is not very long, but the overall game-play was nice. I can recommend to pick this one up. Especially during a sale or other discount.
fantastic game, enjoyable, some lucas cart references. recommended
