This game is very story and character driven. Kathy Rain is a complicated college woman in 1995 who returns to her hometown after her grandfather passes away. She confronts her past as she finds out more and more on the mystery looming over the town. The game is impressive with balancing Kathy’s dry humor with a rather sad tale. The performances in this game are just incredible especially Arielle Siegel who plays Kathy. I grew up playing point-and-click mysteries so this was right up my alley! If you love a dark humored mystery similar to Twin Peaks, this one is for you.
Das Point and Click erinnert an die alten Lucas Arts Adventures. :-)
The best $2 game you can buy during the summer sale and play through the summer as well
Cool story, nice pixel art
Just finished the game, got a good 7-8 hours of it. And as an old adventure game player i quite liked it. The puzzles where challanging, especially towards the end. The mystery is interesting and i would say somewhat unique. All in all a well made adventure game, well voice acted, the only thing of issue are the graphics. They are servicable, but nothing special. If you like adventure games, buy it.
Excellent adventure game. Great graphics and voice acting (mostly). Only two puzzles had silly bits in them.
great game love it
Yes. What? Need more? Well, player's discretion advised as there are really hard topics in the story. Very well written. Very well acted. Most puzzles maybe a little too easy for a point&click veteran like me and one a little too cryptic. Hints for the achievements are well-thought out (ok, I had to check a guide for one). Replay value (making getting all achievements less of a chore) to try out different answers because they're all "mwah!" *chef's kiss* Currently waiting for KR2 to not be on sale to follow Kathy and Eileen (I have such a crush on Eileen T_T ). While KR1DC is on sale, grab the original as well. Play the Director's Cut first, it IS much better. And then, play the original. You'll appreciate the work done to give us the DC as well as another twist on the story.
