优秀的美术风格,精良的动作画面,沉浸感式的游戏过程,非常炫酷的BGM
I am a very one-and-done person when it comes to video games. I have a library full of titles that I've barely touched, or which I've only played through a single time. Katana Zero is an exception, and at this point I've lost track of how many times I've revisited it. It is incredibly enjoyable to play. The mechanics feel excellent and you can easily loose yourself in a kind of flow. That alone would be enough to earn this title a positive review from me, but on top of having satisfying controls, this game is also lovely to look at. The art and music is phenomenal, the style is off the charts, and the story provokes fascinating questions about the nature of time, perception, and mortality. For reasons that I'm not completely sure about, I also find this to be a deeply comforting game, paired well with a stormy evening, hot chocolate, and mac n' cheese. Which is odd, because the plot of this game is deeply tragic, violent, and often unhappy. However, much like how listening to a sad or aggressive song can sometimes help with a bad mood, playing this video game when I'm bummed out does a lot to make me feel better. The development team also seems to be incredibly passionate about this project, and has been working on a free DLC for several years now. 11/10, would play again (and will)
