About
Kabonk! is a nostalgic brick-breaker with multilevel puzzles, physic based controls and a sweet set of power ups set in neon-lit arcades. Enter the arcade and experience a classic with sparks, bounces and bonks.
In Kabonk! you control a physics based paddle and navigate through multiple arcade levels by breaking bricks with different types of spheres, each with unique physics-based properties. Try smashing difficult bricks with more force or add spin-effects to reach difficult objects.
Some bricks are unbreakable but some just needs some force or extra love. Manipulate your way through each level and try to beat each puzzle.

There are a couple of things certain in life: death, taxes, and an eternal battle for first place between my little brother and me in Kabonk. As we age, the love for retro games somehow always returns. I end up playing similar games to the ones we used to love 25 years ago. Kabonk is a great mix of all the paddle-and-ball games we used to play — Arkanoid, Egawalls, Krypton Egg. The game offers nice competition on every level, providing great entertainment even when you just want to play for a couple of minutes. However, I can’t rule out that it will eventually end with a limousine picking my brother and me up for a family dinner with Bert van Leeuwen.
I... don't even know if I have the words to describe this. Kabonk! at its core is a traditional arcade brickbreaker, but has a very ACTUAL arcade vibe to it. Like... air hockey. I mean, it certainly helps that your paddle is more of a round air hockey paddle than a traditional Breakout rectangle, but the neon glows, the bumping music, and the friendly feeling all tie together really nicely. Makes me wish I had a giant soda, a slice of pepperoni pizza, a roll of quarters in my pocket, and nothing else to do with my afternoon. I also love the way levels are selected by guiding the paddle through the gallery and watching them instantly load. REALLY smooth stuff! Does fall into some of the old brickbreaker tropes like the last couple blocks being frustrating to hit, but that's easy to overlook with how solid this package is overall. If you're in the market for some modern arcade goodness with a crazy particle light show, you can do a lot worse than Kabonk!
Very nice and accessible game with a few fun features I haven’t seen before in a brickbreaker, worth!
Kabonk is easily the funniest and best fast-paced arkanoid like game out there at the moment. The levels can be quite challenging. Unlike other arkanoid like games, the pad from which you shoot the ball is not flat, but more like an laying egg shape form. This makes every shot more challenging, because making a straight shot is just not that easy. Combined with the power up twist if you hit the ball just right, it just makes for a really good retro game! If you finished the game you can still try to improve the time you made on each level to secure a higher spot on the leaderboards. Would recommend.
Great game, addictive and challenging. You constantly want to improve yourself and the high scores. Highly recommended!
Fun game to kill some time. Would buy it again.
Kabonk! is a cool block breaker. The neon visual style is simple but effective. I like that each level is a little self-contained challenge, with fun new ideas coming fast and furious. I also like the fact that the paddle has a bit of vertical movement area as well, which makes playing almost feel more like air hockey than a usual breakout style. You can put a bit of punchy angle on the ball with a flick of the paddle which is cool. The difficulty curve of the levels feels a bit uneven sometimes, with a few early levels being pretty tricky to complete, but with enough tries you can definitely make it through. Overall it's a fun block breaking game with a ton of content, as far as I can tell!
Had lots of fun playing with my balls.. to destroy colorful blocks 😉 Retro arcade feels with a modern twist! Simple, colorful, and lots of fun. Huge respect to my friends for making their first game. This is awesome!
