Never paid so little to make my brain hurt so much

Jumpgrid's a tough trial-and-error tango about warping around on a grid to collect cubes while dodging obstacles. The premise is simple, but a lot of the levels can be pretty difficult to conquer. Time and time again, I found myself going "how the heck am I supposed to beat this?" Then I'd watch closely at all the cubes I've yet to collect, as well as what spaces are safe to be on at various points in the level, for the sake of optimizing. Soon enough, the routing came together in a satisfying "aha!" moment and I prevailed and the cycle continued once more. That's the kind of stuff to expect in this game. Jumpgrid's a pretty engaging game with its difficulty, and the graphics and music keeps the arcade feel strong too. The colorful and flashy visuals alongside space-like music kept me mesmerized and in the zone. If you've got the mindset for twitchy and difficult trial-and-error stuff, consider jumping into Jumpgrid!

This is exactly the kind of game that plugs directly into my brain and doesn't let me stop. You can finish it in 20 minutes, but I'm 12 hours in and just getting started. Perfectly responsive controls, simple concept, serious difficulty, infinite room for improvement. Tragic that more people aren't playing this, I've already gotten in the top 20 on some of the leaderboards.

Gets a little bit trial&error-y in the last few levels, but overall it is a fun precise action puzzle game where you jump from grid to grid avoiding obstacles. Making a mistake immediately resets you, which keeps you in the action. Definitely worth the small asking price, though it is also rather short if you just play through the four chapters - though there is a Speedrun and Infinite mode if you want more.
