Great game.

a short but beautifully analogous story

Wacky game play, and difficult jumping platformer game, that I did not like. Art style is good and the game play might be able to move forward in the game for a little while, but ultimately I never returned to play more.

Journey of the Savage Planet is one of THE survival games I never ever thought of me ending up playing. The graphics and looks just never really hooked me but when it went on a massive sale I couldn't resist but to give it a shot and damn am I glad I did. The game immediately got me attached. It's cute, it has plenty of stuff to do and runs perfectly fine. An estimated playthrough takes around 6-7 hours, when going for the 100% (which you can't, since they're DLC bound and the DLC is NOT worth it) you end up around tripple the time. That is, if you're decent at the boss-fighting and get around in the map without being lost continuesly. The story itself was nothing spectacular but alright enough to keep you going. It does not really have a replayability- unless you have to "achievement hunt". I just got the sequel Revenge of the Savage Planet and can immediately say they have outdone themself in improvements and content. Given the price and such, I would say just wait on a sale and you'll have a great once-in-a-lifetime-experience.
