Journey For Elysium

This game is short. I completed it in around 2 hours. But sometimes that is better for VR (as long as the price you get this for reflects that) I can't remember buying this TBH. I probably picked it up in a bundle or for cheap in a sale. If you get it on sale (it's very cheap usually) then this is a perfectly acceptable game. The graphics are B&W but good. The puzzles are easy enough not to be annoying, and the climbing sections are challenging but if you fail it was your fault. The mechanics are solid. I saw other reviews complaining about the boats. Nonsense! It is fine and surprisingly realistic actually. So if you know how to row IRL then you're good. So in conclusion, pick this up at the right price and enjoy your 2 hours.

An atmospheric walking simulator complete with some basic puzzles and platforming. Enjoyable, but not worth full price, wait for a sale.

Very disappointnig. I couldn't play it. There was no way to open inventory and menu on Pico 4. That is very weird since all other controls work just fine.

I give it a thumbs up, but beware: This game isn't for people prone to motion sickness and people that are beginners are video games. As mentioned in the comments, the two things that people might run into issues with, are the motion sickness and the control of the boat. I personally didn't had any of those problems and if you can survive these 2 elements, this game is pretty decent. I personally hoped the 'turning' wasn't a snap turning on the Index Controllers, you can only turn using the capacitive touch. But other than that, the game and story was pretty fun. Aside the turning, the controls were pretty good. The game is fairly short, I did kind of went through it pretty fast, since the puzzles and challenges weren't that hard for me. So expect the game to last like 1 and half hour to 2 hours long.

Played on oculus quest. Really enjoyed the story this is mostly what kept me playing. Graphics: Very gray. I found the gray to be draining after awhile and wanted more color. You get some color in the form of glowing oranges, reds and blues. But i feel it was a missed opportunity not to do flashes or color for memories or art. Gameplay: The game play on the quest was weaker to more modern titles or . Driving a boat was not smooth and ending up getting frustrating. I found if i turned 180 degrees to face the back of the boat driving instantly became easier. Climbing was missing vibration feedback, it did make a sound. But, in the middle of climbing it was hard pay attention to the small sounds. The bow game play was well done and I had no issues hitting the few targets. Overal a good game. I would love to play another mantis game with improved gameplay elements.

nice short trip for that price

mostly black and white, low quality textures, vomit inducing and boring. the puzzles are really simple and dont offer much, the story is also not worth it, very slow and not engaging at all. It does everything a VR game should NOT do...

Nice environment and music, but the poorly designed controls make the game more than annoying. Neither the locomotion nor the teleport mode usable. Pity.

Игра понравилась - интересный сюжет с небольшим твистом в конце, при этом графика очень подходит общей атмосфере. Очень не хватало какого-то aim assist для лука - в финальной битве это бы очень пригодилось. Порадовала отсылка к Skyrim в одном из достижений.
