The game was released for the APPLE II Computer and that was just the Beginning. Over the YEars the Game was released for many Computers and Consoles. The Name of the Game: THE OREGON TRAIL. A Game about Managing a Treck on the way through the west, a Mix of RPG and Strategy. It inspired many other Games like THE YUKON TRAIL or WAGGON TRAIN 1848. You see it has a Long History. And here we are. Welcome to JOURNEY EXPRESS! JOURNEY EXPRESS is also inspired by THE OREGON TRAIL and shows Love and Respect for the Original. In the Beginning you can create your own Character and choose a Skillset, a Background, a Portrait and a Gender. After that choose a contract and begin your first Journey. You have to treat illnesses, restock supplies, make decisions that can lengthen or shorten your journey, and face dangers of all kinds. You are also able to get in First Person to explore the Area for Food or more. Reach your Target Destination, get your pay and be Ready for a new Contract. The pay and also the reputation depend on various factors, for example, whether all your fellow travelers survived the trip. The whole Soundtrack is really nice and i bought it because it is absolutly the 99 Cent worth. JOURNEY EXPRESS is a bow to THE OREGON TRAIL. Like the Original JOURNEY EXPRESS may be in the Beginning a Little bit challenging, but the more you Play, the more you learn the mechanics and the easier it goes. Take your Time, it is worth it. I absolutly recommend this Game for THE OREGON TRAIL Player but also for "Newcomer". The Price is absolutly fair for what you get and important: It is Early Access. There is more to come and it will. The game has huge potential to be an "Oregon Trail on Steroids" type of game. But, its not there yet. It needs polishing in just about every area.

There's definitely lots of room for improvement though the potential's there. Feels like a spiritual successor to Oregon Trail which I like; but I also feel like it's very rough and needs a LOT of work. Leaving a positive review for now as I'm interested to see what else is in store for this game. From my few minutes of gameplay, I spent around 10 minutes looking for my backpack trying to continue my trail (I lost track of where it was while exploring in the 1st person mode and got back to my trail with 40 crates of vegetables and fruits), travelled quickly into 3 consecutive cyclones (a feat that I once thought was only possible in the Pacific Ring of Fire) and a travelling salesman took pity on me and gave me 10% off on goods worth 135$ (it was more expensive than the previous travelling salesman who sold me goods worth 70$) Unforgiving like Oregon Trail, a little bit random, but in need of a some QOL improvements if that even applies to game like this.

This is a fun game great game that feels like organ trail and is very enjoyable. The crafting mechanic in the game is very clean and easy to learn. It can get a little difficult but it is still a lot of fun It can also get a little confusing finding stuff in you inventory but besides that and a few bugs that I have found I have been having fun with this game. 🐂👍

It has a lot of potential but in this state it also has a lot of bugs and is kinda unplayable for me. I will still give thumbs up and check from time to time in the hope of playing it one day. Please keep up the work! :)
