Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.5/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0.2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Jotun is a boss rush game similar to Titan Souls with beautiful graphics that are inspired by Norse mythology. Even though the combat mechanics are simple, it is an outstanding first game from the developers and a great indication of their future as game developers.
In meinen Augen das beste (kleine) Souls Like!

Solid game, not too long, not too short. A lot of creative environments. A good amount of bosses and ability variety, there is one attack that the lightning boss does that is fast enough that if you get hit once the blindness makes it so you don't have time to move out of the next strike but this was the only attack that felt completely unfair. The fire boss was my favorite, even with all the collectibles it still was difficult but fun and rewarding when I finally beat it. The music and story was fantastic. I enjoyed my time with the game but I wish the character moved a little faster and the heavy attack did more damage. At the moment it feels like you are doing the same amount of DPS as the normal attack but with a slow charge up.
yeah
A fun action game with a few tweaks to make it less info-heavy than many. The map system doesn't tell you where you are, forcing you to navigate by landmarks (like a real, nonGPS map! neat!). There is also excellent music and sound effects, plus the animation is visibly hand-drawn in many places. Evocative landscapes and enemies, too!
A mecânica do jogo é bastante divertida e criativa.
I love it.
I've been a huge fan of the other Thunder Lotus titles I've touched, and Jotun: Valhalla Edition's quality stands neatly in line with the rest, especially considering it is their debut game. The combat is immensely satisfying and chunky: Powerful and yet agonizingly slow attack windups generate an uninterrupted stream of thrilling moments and a feeling of nervous awe as you engage staggeringly huge enemies in melee combat. If your massive attacks land, they can interrupt some enemy attacks, or stagger the bosses into vulnerable states, and thankfully you can always roll out of if you get overwhelmed, which will happen often without you acquiring the Power of the Gods. Very similar to Sundered: Eldritch edition, Thunder Lotus have mixed particularly addicting and charming boss design, massive aoe attacks, and spawns of huge enemy hordes, seemingly with ease. I personally can't help but replay the fights just to rewatch the animations, and maybe swing that axe a little faster, more efficiently, even gracefully the next time. My gripes are limited: The dash attack is amazing, and gives you huge thrusting reach at a moment's notice, but it sadly only articulates towards the direction you roll. Both the light and heavy attack should be bound to R1 and R2 Powers could be swapped with the D-pad. It's not efficient whatsoever that power swapping currently commandeers all 4 shoulder buttons. It's atrocious. While their newer games like Spiritfarer are more fluid, this game proudly displays simple mechanics with surprising vibrancy, and some beautiful voice work compels you to explore the world and story as much as possible. This game needs a DLC badly; it's too good and I need more!
Jotun is all about patience and is way harder if you lack it, like me. I've spent 12 out of the 20 hours of playtime dying like an idiot. The combat is mostly very slow and methodical. It took me some time to get used to it. Generational lock-in is required to beat some of these bosses with no powers, especially in Valhalla Mode. They fu*k you up QUICK, while your swings take half a business day. It's different, beautiful and sometimes brutal. Had a good time/10.
