its a nostalgia trip to say the least you'll have ups and downs due to the sheer difficulty of some of the missions but enjoyable none the less. I would without a doubt recommend jet set radio.
A unique and stylized game that suffers from many design problems. It increasingly gets harder each level to know where you are supposed to go because there are no indicators and a time limit, to the point where it becomes near impossible to continue. You are constantly being attacked with no means to retaliate, which interrupts you from completing your objectives. Controls are janky, making it hard to grind from one rail to the next. This game glorifies graffiti as 'art' and 'cool', but in reality it is typically just vandalism used to gauge how dangerous the area is. Lastly, Sega removed this game from Steam for no reason.

Graffiti is art. However, graffiti as an act of vandalism is a crime. Every state/province has vandalism laws that apply to graffiti, and local entities such as cities and counties have anti-graffiti ordinances. Violation of these laws can result in a fine, probation, or jail sentence. SEGA does not condone the real life act of vandalism in any form.
Music and art direction is funky as hell. Movement and gameplay is clunky as hell. I deeply adore everything aesthetic-wise about it, believe me, but playing it was like trying to get a forklift to do tricks on a skatepark, and fifteen minutes in some grown ass men try to kick you out of the skatepark and you're supposed to move away from them. This is for both playing on keyboard AND playing on controller. I hope to God the one thing that people don't try to imitate from this game is the god awful movement.
yo this game fire cuh
go play Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, this game doesn't exist anymore
As someone who remembers the dreamcast era, I am quite surprised that a game that we were sold as kids as to what the future would be like when it came to the skateboards, rollerblades, and the tricks attached to them did not play out in the same way as I imagined. I think Sega was a bit too early with this game (as far back as I can remember) due to it looking cool, but it looked like the dreamcast was struggling to hard with the content (should have waited for the next gen back then). It was not Tony Hawk Pro Skater, but I do think that back then, it did not really suffer from not being that game. It holds its own well as I am reminded what the era looked like, but I do think that it did struggle with how the companies chose to approach the game. The tagging feature, though I understand it, could have been resources used elsewhere in the game. The game feels super floaty with I noted with both the ads and the gameplay later. I didn't really get a chance to play it back on the Dreamcast, but I think it's a little better then what Trickstyle was and is. Overall, I'm still approving it since it's a strong game. It's just that it is hard to judge from a game I didn't really get that much time to spend with back then.
