An endless runner (swinger?) with a heart that builds into a decent challenge. The story of the little spider struggling to move forward is lovely. The story is quite short, but it has endless replayability chasing the high score on the leaderboard. I found this game when I came across the dev streaming development on twitch, and have been hooked ever since.
This game is a neat little way to pass that time while riding on the train. I adore the art direction's simple, yet very detailed look. A nursery rhyme from long ago takes on a different perspective through the spider's own thoughts and their compulsion to climb out that spout. I definitely felt something for the little one as I look back on my own spouts I've had to climb, so to speak. I highly recommend this game for those times we really need a tug on the ol' heartstrings.
A very charming and easy to play game with the bonus of being more complex than you think! Played it for a good half hour or so already and I think this is going to be a firm "I've only got half an hour" game favourite. Music, graphics, controls, and overall gameplay harks back to when gaming was new and fun!
I never thought I could be so emotionally invested in a spider trying to climb a drain.
A delightful lil' game with simple mechanics that are executed very, very well! There's an addictive feeling to flinging yourself up the spout, and being pushed back is a challenging sensation, but it kinda makes you want to keep trying despite the struggle! The gameplay itself informs the themes the author's trying to convey, and feeling those high and low moments from the game while you're spinning and bouncing all over the place is a very clever way of handling the game design. Overall, a lovely experience!
This game is down right adorable and if you've ever felt the power of crunch and burn out in your life, I promise you Itsy will resonate. The game's story is the literal the conversations we've had with ourselves again and again as we struggle against all life throws at us. I've never related to a spider more.
A remarkably simple premise but executed in a fun and engaging way. I could see this being a great zen game that I come back to for peace of mind.
I really like the easy-to-pick up gameplay that kept me trying to climb higher and higher. And I was surprised at how much I cared for the little spider's struggle. What a fantastic playthrough!
I did not know what to expect starting this game. After just a few runs, I am loving the game and it's a great cute climbing adventure. I am very competitive so I hope to top the leader boards. second or third try and I am already heading towards the top 50. I will climb the spout again. I will. I did get this from the creator in the form of a steam key. I want to be fully transparent in the fact that I was not asked to write anything about the game. this is my genuine honest review after playing this game. I hope to see more games from this studio soon! Love the art style.
Such a cute little game with a wholesome, positive message. Just play it! See y'all on the leaderboard! :D
