It's A Wipe!

Simple but fun for the right kind of nerd.

I enjoyed this title. I got quite a few chuckles out of it and it is surprisingly entertaining. I'd definitely recommend this to any MMORPG veteran, especially WoW.

I can't believe I've had this game for years and I never got around to reviewing it! It's a Wipe is a really fun game that simulates an RPG raiding environment. You recruit guild members, gear them up, and send them into various dungeons to get more gear and funds to support the guild as a whole. While I have more than 50 hours logged with this game, I must be honest and say that the curve can be a bit steep if you don't pay attention to boss mechanics or bring a poorly optimized team. For some folks the gameplay can get a bit repetitive, but that is the nature of raiding-- beating your head against something and forever chasing better gear. The game is worth it at full price, but if you're worried about repetition, grab it on sale. The Devs still work on this game from time to time which is really nice. I would love to see another game like this. :)

This is a simple game, that I enjoy a lot. The first few dungeons are easy enough, you'll find some loot and learn the basic game mechanics. At first you just have to tell raid members what to do. Healers heal, tanks tank, dps do damage. Then you get a bit of micromanagement to do. Sometimes raidmembers switch roles and you need to yell at them. Somtimes raidmembers stand in fire and you need at them. Sometimes the melee walk into the backline and you need to yell at them. Sometimes the tank gets low and you need to yell at the healers to keep them up (which works, unlike in World of Warcraft). Maybe a fight is too rough, so you go back to an older dungeon to gear up. Later the fights get complexer. You'll need to pay attention to mechanics and macro manage your raid as well as micro manage your raid at the same time. I find it enjoyable and considering it's price tag I'd recomend waiting for a sale.

Honestly i can't say this is a particularly good game. for some people the raid management joke will strike a chord and they will have a laugh, but overall there isn't much here, hence the price. That said, i think massive respect needs to be shown to the devs who are still supporting their product long after release unlike so many how just dump half finished or broken products onto steam. Hopefully this will be a great learning experiance for them and lead to them producing more in the future, the games industry needs more devs like this.

Fun little guild management game.

One of those kind of games you can play to chill. Great for downtime during a stream.
