About
Islets Defense is a turn-based tower defense game focused on resource management in which you build a small and efficient village to support your towers and secure victory.

A turn consists of executing one of the four available actions, each with its own unique functionality. The order of the cards plays a key role, with the rightmost card offering a stronger effect. After completing your turn, the chosen card moves to the leftmost position, pushing the others one step forward. Consistent and efficient use of all four cards is key to building a solid defense.

Allocate your towers in strategic positions, sustain them with food, upgrade them with wood and stone, and ensure a strong defense against the slimes. Chests and stage modifiers will offer new strategic opportunities, with unique towers and various upgrades to explore.

Each building has different upgrade options for you to choose from. Build the most efficient village by making smart decisions that synergize with your positioning strategy!

The mist has covered your entire kingdom! You start the game with an unexplored map, ready to be revealed! Use the exploration action to reach new resources, gain visibility for your attack towers, and discover hidden treasures!

Very fun and unique approach to a tower defense game. The care the developers put into the difference of each stage in terms of art, mechanics, and stage events was such a breath of fresh air for a typically stale genre. Hard mode variants of each stage are genuinely difficult but also rewarding to figure out. I am impressed with how much this game made me strategize and do things in the correct order, and you can tell the game was made with a lot of love. Big fan!
(Important: If you can’t get into the game, remember to update your graphics driver!)This isn’t really a tower defense game; it’s more of a resource-collecting adventure. If you’re looking for traditional tower defense with tons of rich defenses and enemies, you’ll probably find this game too limiting for your tastes. The core gameplay is about planning and managing your resources. In many cases, there’s only one type of tower and one type of enemy—you need to constantly collect resources to upgrade your defenses while balancing everything and exploring the map. The first three chapters are pretty relaxing, fun, and well-executed, but after that the difficulty ramps up. Overall, this is a tower defense game focused on resource collection and map exploration. The turn-based format gives you plenty of room to think. The building, upgrading, transforming, and exploring card cycles, along with adjusting card order, add a strategic deck-building feel. In short, it’s a more static and thoughtful game.
Islets Defense is one of those rare strategy games that manages to feel both familiar and genuinely fresh at the same time. Developed by MiniGoof and published by Nuntius Games, MiniGoof, and Vsoo Games, it takes the well-worn foundations of tower defense and reshapes them into something slower, more deliberate, and far more thoughtful. Instead of testing your reflexes and multitasking under pressure, it challenges your ability to plan, sequence, and optimize decisions over time. The result is a hybrid experience that sits somewhere between tower defense, puzzle design, and board game strategy. The most defining aspect of the game is its turn-based structure. Every action you take—whether building a structure, upgrading defenses, exploring new tiles, or modifying terrain—counts as a turn, and enemy waves advance in response to your decisions. This fundamentally changes how the game feels. Rather than reacting in real time, you’re constantly weighing trade-offs: do you invest in long-term resource generation, or prepare immediately for the next threat? Do you expand your map for future opportunities, or consolidate what you already have? This constant tension between short-term survival and long-term efficiency gives the game a strategic weight that most tower defense titles don’t attempt. What elevates this system further is the action queue mechanic. Your available actions rotate in a sequence, and their effectiveness depends on their position—actions become stronger the longer you wait to use them. This introduces a layer of timing and sequencing that goes beyond simple decision-making. You’re not just choosing what to do, but also when to do it for maximum impact. This creates a satisfying rhythm of planning ahead, holding back, and then executing stronger moves at the right moment. It transforms what could have been a static system into something dynamic and engaging, rewarding foresight and efficiency. The game also expands beyond traditional tower placement by incorporating resource management and exploration. You’re not just defending a path—you’re building a small, functional settlement. Resources like food, wood, and stone are required to sustain and upgrade your defenses, and the map begins partially hidden, encouraging you to explore and uncover new tiles. This adds a sense of progression that feels organic, as each decision contributes not only to your immediate survival but also to the long-term strength of your setup. The interplay between exploration and defense keeps the gameplay loop from becoming too narrow, giving each run a slightly different flow depending on how you expand. Content variety helps reinforce this structure. The game features multiple stages and biomes, each introducing new modifiers, layouts, and challenges that force you to rethink your approach. Some maps emphasize resource scarcity, others introduce unique environmental interactions, and later stages demand tighter optimization and more precise planning. This ensures that the core mechanics are tested in different ways, preventing the experience from becoming too predictable too quickly. At its best, each level feels like a self-contained puzzle, asking you to understand its rules and solve it as efficiently as possible. Visually, Islets Defense adopts a clean and colorful style that complements its design philosophy. The presentation is bright and readable, with clear distinctions between tiles, structures, and enemies. This clarity is essential for a game built around planning, as it allows you to quickly assess the board and make informed decisions. The overall aesthetic leans toward a light, almost cozy tone, which contrasts nicely with the depth of its systems. It’s inviting without being distracting, and it reinforces the idea that this is a game about thinking rather than reacting. Despite its strengths, the game is not without its limitations. The turn-based pacing, while innovative, can feel slow for players accustomed to the immediacy of traditional tower defense. The deliberate nature of each action means that the game lacks the adrenaline-driven moments that define the genre for many players. Additionally, the handcrafted nature of its maps means that replayability is tied more to optimization than discovery. Once you understand a level, it becomes possible to approach it with a fixed strategy, which can reduce long-term variety. There is also a sense that the game’s systems, while strong, are not fully pushed to their limits. The mechanics remain consistent throughout, and while new modifiers and layouts introduce variation, the core loop does not evolve dramatically. For some players, this consistency is a strength, providing a stable and learnable system. For others, it may feel like the game stops just short of reaching its full potential, especially after mastering its fundamentals. Even so, Islets Defense succeeds because it understands what it wants to be and executes it with clarity. It transforms tower defense into a more thoughtful, strategic experience, one that rewards patience, planning, and efficiency over speed and reflexes. It is a game that invites you to slow down, consider your options, and find satisfaction in optimizing your approach rather than simply surviving. For players who enjoy puzzle-like strategy games and are drawn to systems that reward careful planning, it offers a distinctive and engaging experience that stands out within its genre. For those seeking fast-paced action or constant mechanical evolution, it may feel too restrained to fully satisfy. It is a focused, well-crafted game that doesn’t try to be everything—but within its chosen space, it delivers something genuinely refreshing. Rating: 8/10
fun game
Um tower defense com estilo! Eu gosto das fases coloridas e dos elementos de RPG e cartas. Acessível no começo mas com uma complexidade estratégica crescente.
https://youtu.be/oXPl8IkaCcA Merging Tower Defense with Spinning Plate styles works rather well and keeps the decision making complex.
quando você menos esperar, vai deitar pra dormir e ficar pensando em estrategias pra passar as fases........ dito isso jogo MARAVILHOSO 1000/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
