Islands & Trains

I'll tell you what, I've been sleeping on this game. I finally got it today and hot dayum it's awesome. So many tools to create such a detailed landscape. The price, you cannot beat it. Even if you don't care much about trains (I don't) but love cozy builders, just get it. It's great! The trains are awesome to build with along with everything else. Couple things I hope they add (unless I just haven't seen them and/or figured these things out yet) are, -People. That would liven it up some if they were just walking around doing their own thing. -Sloped paths. There are a couple stairways and things but I haven't figured out how to slope a path up or down elevation. -The ability to place and/or turn objects off the grid. Fine detail type stuff. That would make a huge difference. Otherwise, fantastic so far. Bravo guys!

This is a relaxing, cozy game about building a pretty world for your trains to run through. I enjoyed it a lot and definitely recommend it if you're into games like Tiny Glade or Dorfromantik. While it's supposed to be about trains, I found myself distracted more by enjoying the map and forgetting to focus more on the trains. [u]Pros[/u]: - Beautiful world. - Didn't experience bugs or crashes. - Ran smoothly. - Relaxing. - Easy to create a cozy world. - "Variations" - game automatically swaps between variations of buildings or numbers of trees/animals per tile so that you don't have to manually do that. There's also an option to turn this off. - Can lock camera on the train to enjoy watching it. - Undo button! [u]Cons[/u]: - Controls are clunky at times and sometimes randomly reset. - The lock camera to watch the train doesn't move smoothly. When moving left to right (or vice versa), it jumps instead of sliding. - Game froze for 10-15 seconds when adding or deleting a large amount of items at once.
