About

Take a look behind Irony Curtain in this satirical point-and-click inspired by the best works of LucasArts and Daedalic Entertainment! Experience the totalitarian Matryoshka through the eyes of Evan – a low-ranking, goofy journalist involuntarily pulled right into the middle of an espionage stand-off between two powers. Jump into the wacky spy adventure, uncover secrets of the bizarre communist country (and the powerful capitalist empire!), witness a story full of unpredictable twists and turns, and discover the true agenda of the mysterious Supreme Leader!
What business might the loving father of the Matryoshkan nation have with a lowly, capitalistic pen-pusher?
Why suddenly lift the Irony Curtain and welcome a stranger into Matryoshka?
And why is there an alligator in the middle of the bathroom?!

An original setting: fictional Cold War era – alternate reality unbound by historical accuracy, and the communistic Matryoshka full of people who work all the possible angles to navigate this illogical, odd country.
Inspired by classic adventure games – but better. No dream-logic, no pixel hunting. No-nonsense. Pure point and click fun.
The Spy Intrigue – sleeper spies, stolen secrets and world-domination plots wrapped up in layers of humor.
Quirky characters – Meet the mysterious Leader ruling Matryoshka with an irony fist, the clueless and guilible Evan, the brave and witty Agent Anna and the notorious Minister of Propaganda...
Do it your way – some of the puzzles are non-linear and can be solved in two or more different ways.
21 hand-painted locations – that look surprisingly better than their original inspirations.
1,951 cleverly sneaked-in easter eggs – some of them punishable by political imprisonment.
Music score as grand as Matryoshka itself - music by the state composer Arkadiusz Reikowski (Layers of Fear, My Brother Rabbit) with Main Theme by Peter McConnell (Monkey Island, Grim Fandango)
Full voice-over – in English, and subtitles in Polish and German.
A 5-year plan – that no one ever hoped to achieve, and neither should you.

A very well-made point-and-click adventure. Great puzzles, beautiful visuals, and really good dialogue with plenty of humor. Easy to recommend for fans of the genre.
Great game, fully handdrawn. Beautiful places to visit, humor and dialogs. Well optimized. No moon logic. good voice overs. 9.5/10.
A delightful Cold War parody where incompetence meets espionage. Like Monkey Island took a vacation behind the Iron Curtain and brought vodka instead of sunscreen. Glorious motherland approves and so do we, comrade.

Great point and click
Nice graphic Point and Click adventure similar to how they came in their peak times in the 90s/2000s. Technically and graphics-wise a solid 9/10. Characters, writing, puzzles however lack the charme of Lucas Arts & Co. 6.5/10. The helping systems is almost too helpful and comes close to a guide. But before being stuck too long on the maybe 2-3 a little bit more tricky puzzles, it comes in handy and saves you the online search. The setting is fresh, the story however a little silly. And for building a real lore and a new universe for a potential sequal, everything is too shallow. Characters (i.e. Anna or Vlad) have way too little screen time and no real individual personality at all to make them rememberable. Recommended for adventure fans for sake of the good game flow. The humor is a 7/10 within a setting, which takes itself more seriously in the end than maybe expected. I had 2-3 grinners, but no LoLs... Manny, Hoggie and Guybrush are just second to none.. Total: 8/10
The sarcasm is strong with this one! This game is such a gem, if only it could be more well-known. The dialogues and witty comments are absolutely amusing, and the plot is carefully designed. If you play more rounds, you'll find more hidden clues, such as the fortune teller's advice actually makes perfect sense. What I did not enjoy includes the waiting for Evan to move around & the QTE stamping. Nevertheless, great game. Can't believe I didn't play it sooner.
Ich liebe die Szenengestaltung!
This is what classic (Lucas Arts) point and click was about and should be about. Highly recommend if you're into that genre.
