Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.

Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Ironbound Universal" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.

Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile-tier game! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"Ironbound" looks exactly like one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. While I couldn't find this on the app stores, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app... it has all the same qualities, from the mobile app tier graphics to the shallow gameplay you expect from mobile app cash harvesters. We can't say why this wasn't accepted on the mobile app stores, maybe it's because Google and Apple have QA departments, and Valve has "Steam Direct". While this garbage never made it to the app stores as far as I can tell, it's monetised just as bad, if not worse than many mobile app scams. The idea with this CCG is that you fight other players (there are none), not through buying cards/boosters, but by directly upgrading your "weapons"... this means that, without any doubt, the winner of each match is determined by who paid the most money to the devs. Gameplay itself is also paygated... this is cancer. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the cheap, bright, colourful plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is basically a mobile app on the wrong platform. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's well over 130 million gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.

Nice game!
great game major bummer it got taken down I know people wanted to buy it
The game is literally dead and has no active player base, but at least there are ranked bots, so you can get a lot of fun even with them!
Pros: + Fitting soundtrack + Detailed art style Cons: - Option to automatically open loot boxes - Having to create a third party account - No separate audio sliders - Basic animations and sound effects - Soundtrack gets surprisingly repetetive quite fast - Having to hold the left mouse button when mousing over - So much RNG Different in all the wrong ways, especially when it comes to the loot boxes.
