Took a while to get this game figured out. This is a tower shooter type game and the player bugs weapons to defend the train from attacks. The design is not the most intuitive but the level of detail is rather good for a student project. The idea of the gane is to equip cars with guns to shoot critters that come from the rear of the train and zigzag to the front. I played this on my Dell Precision 3480 with Intel Xe Arc graphics and RTX A500 graphics.
Really great free little tower defence game made by a group of talented students who are going to go very far in their future careers! If you like tower defence games give this one a go!

Fundamentally a fun game, however it barely functions, when you reach the end of a contract it's supposed to sell every turret for base price however instead it just keeps the turrets there for the next car. Menus will sometimes just exist, and it just feels unpolished. However it is still a put together game and I can tell it's fun with a few bug fixes. If this game costed money I would not recommend it, however it is a good free way to spend a little bit of time.
"Iron Line" is a student project from Breda University. This year the students made a basic tower defense strategy game. You are a train conductor defending cargo on a dangerous track called the Iron Line. The player places and upgrades turrets to repel waves of enemies attacking the train as it moves towards its destination. The only "train" bit is that the map is split up into separate carriages... whatever makes the students happy I guess. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
Awesome experience. Cute little game with a nice idea behind it. The game has some bugs, but that is fine. I like trains and TD so this is a nice combination. Cool graphics and design, reminds me of Defense Grid.
So it's pretty fun, and I like the concept of the TD. The moving carts is pretty interesting. I don't like the fact you can't choose what towers get eaten and hope there's a way to select to keep all towers or move them. Also would be great to have more upgrades. Anyway if you like TD's and want to try a new concept it's really for you.
Very fun, personally like the built in balancing act between deliveries forcing the sale of turrets at base cost, which rewards large numbers of un-upgraded turrets, and the weight, which rewards smaller numbers of upgraded ones. Some bugs, as others have mentioned, and while they do have a significant impact on the game, they're easily fixed by selling the bugged turrets, and don't make the game unplayable. As tower defense games go, this is probably one of the best that I've seen at this scale, especially given that it's free.
Iron Line'ı geçebilecek birkaç tren kondüktöründen biri olduğunuz bir kule savunma oyunudur. Saldırıdan sağ mı çıkacaksınız, yoksa öbür dünyaya ekspres bilet mi alacaksınız?
