"Save the Dungeon!" is just a low key asset flip.. the quality of the sometimes mismatched looking assets is suspiciously much higher than the actual game is, and that's a glaring mismatch. Who's going to create a bunch of high quality assets and then phone in the actual game? It doesn't add up... unless you consider how easy it is for anyone, even people unqualified to make games, to get any and all the game assets they want. The game is essentially a kitbash of assets made by other people, poorly assembled by an amateur developer. These projects are usually rushed through Steam Direct as fast as possible, and the lack of professional standards means the end result is something no gamer should waste their time on. This is a poorly made, somewhat simplistic tower defense game kitbashed out of "borrowed" (plagiarised) Unreal assets. This one takes on the way overdone trope of managing a dungeon as the bad guy. So, just like the assets aren't original, the entire game design isn't either. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. A peak of [b]4 concurrent players[/b] (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. This "free" game won't count toward your game collection count on your profile. With that in mind, is it something you should still download? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.

In all honesty, there's no reason to play this tower defence over ANY other game. Even btd6 on a random browser is better than this. There are only two towers: long range and short range, there are minimal upgrades, and graphics/font genuinely bleeds my eyes. Overall: atrocious game 0/10 lost to soan
