Big step up from nascar 25 although the way you have to drive the cars is different especially in braking but playing on wheel and controller feels great and on the highest settings looks great.Tested it on a steam deck at lowest settings no scaling 800p 25-35fps at daytona looked terrible very pixelated.
Massive upgrade from NASCAR 25. I put over 100 hours into that game and can see myself putting even more into this one. The physics are harder to learn, which makes it more rewarding. The graphics have improved drastically. I'm glad they kept Kyle Busch as part of the Cup roster, would love it if they kept him for a few more future entries into iRacing's NASCAR games. If you liked 25, you'll love 26.

ya... this ani't it. Gameplay is... bad. The damage model and crash physics are TRASH. The cars feel very sensitive. The last NASCAR game to have some what realistic crashes was NASCAR 15. It feels like y'all up the graphic specs so it looks like eye candy just for it to taste like dogs***. Also, Why one paint scheme per driver? One thing a really hated about NASCAR 25 was the face there was only one scheme per driver. And no age confirmation of beer sponsors Pit road sucks, no side drafting, just all around bad It's like the new Slipknot song "Arsenal" I want to like it... but i cant... cuz it sucks Game feels like a giant let down, why the f*** is it so hard to make a good racing game? Like 90% of the NASCAR Roblox games are better then this IRacing, for the love of god, stick to racing sims, yall cant do video games
ITS NASCAR 420s
This is my first Nascar game since heat 5. This is a very good game, its missing some things, but its worth. Very fun
Overall the game seems to be a big leap forward from NASCAR 25 however IRacing clearly doesn't listen to its fan base. Same issues players had with the 1st iteration still exist.. Graphics and physics seem to be the only change that was really focused on. Career mode only added a facility upgrade requirement into the story line. Still the same repetitive cycle as the previous game. Now for the large glaring issue.. Why and how can such a larger developer leave such problems and gaps within the "realistic" feel of a racing game? I use a G920 wheel, the wheel violently shakes anytime I launch the game and will only settle once i get into the car, then the feedback is non existent, its similar to driving a John Deere 4840. Did they not conduct beta testing prior to release? After the update today I anticipated some of these issues being address, but no, they didn't correct or touch anything related with the controller/wheel settings. From a fan of NASCAR and video game fan, can we please listen to our fan base and try to correct the issue that will cause people from buying your game?!? Its like Jim France was in charge of creating this game at this point, drive it into the ground.
The safety monitoring system is terrible, you can get a violation for being “too slow” because someone with an ego decides they shouldn’t slow down in a corner and spin you out. There isn’t any system actually penalizing dirty drivers. Everything else so far is great, but multiplayer is going to need some work.
Really enjoying the improvements on this one! Restarts seem to be a bit better, at least I only lose 1 spot now instead of 5 - 8 positions. Graphics are better, AI seems to be pretty stable so far and the career mode enhancements are nice too. And Bristol, one of my favorite tracks, is now fun again and not just everyone running the high line! Good to see the patches are already coming out to fix the small things too!
Appreciate that this years entry works on Steam Deck in SteamOS and is very playable. Not the prettiest on low settings, but with frame limiting to 30 FPS it runs smooth even at demanding tracks like St. Pete. Can bump up the texture quality a bit from low to make it a bit more appealing without any frame loss. Thanks Dale Jr and Jerky Boys for the ARCA ride!
