About

While Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo D.C., she knows it's time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There's no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
Shelly's crusade to take down Heskel's army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Her signature revolver, the tri-barreled Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with both single shots and Old West-style hammer fanning action. Who needs a regular shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Violent, over-the-top Bowling Bombs rip enemies apart with ease.
Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn't mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. Widescreen, controller support, and auto saves? 3D Realms and Voidpoint have taken the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

this game is amazing! I wasnt expecting to like it, I usally stay away from shooters. But this is like a flash back to my Doom and Duke Nukem days, little secrets every where and so many little things you can interact with, its great.!
Explosive, high-octane fun. Slappin' soundtrack. State of the art bang bang.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Awesome boomer-shooter. Overall dynamics, gun-play and soundtrack is outstanding (especiallt if you like 80s-90s vibe)
love this style of game. modern game with a retro doom feel
Already beat this game on Xbox One and liked it so much that I got more into PC gaming just to play retro shooters just like Ion Fury so I bought it again and it was just as good the second time if not better because I could now use mouse and keyboard. Flash forward a bit and now my library is full of retro shooters all thanks to Ion Fury. (Plus Aftershock was a a great cherry on top.) Big recommend if you like boomer shooters or just retro styled shooters. It's also mountains better than Phantom Fury which is a sequel in name only and lacks the heart, soul, and superb level design that made Ion Fury a modern cult classic. Give this one a try but don't feel too bad for looking up secrets.
Excelent game , not a lot of boring crappy story lines , just a lot of great action like it should be. 9/10 triple A games alot of times are not as good as this is in my opinion. Enjoyed it very much , it might get tiresome after a while but when you get back into it after a couple hours its fun all over again...
Ion Fury is a classic boomer shooter throwback actually made in the Build engine! #wow It's easily in the top three of Build engine games, which may seem like faint praise considering there are only around five to begin with. But, it is pure Build, able to stand slightly ahead of Shadow Warrior and slightly behind Blood. Ken Silverman leaped from his job of making .pngs 2% smaller, fully revitalized as his engine makes it's triumphant return in ION FURY. The levels are well designed and contiguous in Half-Life fashion, incorporating every ounce of that famous Build interactivity. They're evocative of real locations while still being perfect locales for a retro FPS, and every corner is thoughtfully detailed. Shelly lives in a somewhat generic cyberpunk neon-land and the whole game takes place in one block of nightime, so there is some thematic oversaturation. The secrets are about half unfindable. They're very well designed - no wallhumping here - but possibly are the end result of developers who are too intimately familiar with the design of boomer shooters designing for the top 0.1% of players. You will be able to get about 50% of the secrets by being very perceptive, clever, and aware of your surroundings; each secret will test your spatial intelligence and attention to detail. However, the rest will require some kind of guide. There are also probably too many secrets in general, averaging about ten per level. Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison is a bit of a non-character compared to Caleb, Lo Wang, and Duke. Almost all her Duke Nukem DNA has been extirpated, leaving a solid but basic "action woman". The character of Shelly was originally going to be Duke Nukem's actual counterpart, and now only exists in a few pages of concept art, a 1998 trailer, and a John St. John line from the leaked DNF build. Duke doesn't just say action movie lines - he's funny because he's a hyperbolic himbo-type who says the lines funny as well. Shelly just says the lines. Her sex appeal is *okay*, and at least we can take solace in the fact that she doesn't have a buzzed sidecut.
Aftershock?
Took me a while to get into, but once it clicks, it clicks good. Runs well on Steam Deck and found the controls pretty reliable overall.
