Invasion 2: Doomed is a mobile-esque hidden object/hotspot screen tapping game, very much like the dozens of Artifex Mundi mobile apps infesting Steam. Gameplay consists of the usual, expected hidden object puzzles and 2D static image adventuring to progress a somewhat mediocre adventure/mystery story. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game only ever reached a peak player count of only 6 players. That's right, only 6. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason. Invasion 2: Doomed has an overly optimistic price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam.
If you enjoyed Invasion: Lost in Time, well, this is a direct continuation of the story and of comparable quality. Which, for the most part, is a good thing: more great and original puzzle mini-games and more of the exciting, fast-paced sci-fi story. However, we also have the same buggy game engine. With the previous game I could not play in 4K. With this one I can only play in 4K, but that means text is often very tiny and also clicking on dialogs does not dismiss them. I could still finish the game and it didn't bother me too much, but ... awkward. Worse, once again there were bugs that forced me to quit and return to the game. Again, I could still finish the game. Also worth noting that the English translation is even worse than in the first game. In this case there are even blatant typos and spelling mistakes. Again, nothing to keep you from understanding what is going on. So, thumbs up for the gameplay, but get ready to demand a refund from Steam if the bugs are too much for you.

Unspielbar aufgrund extrem niedriger fps. Nur am Ruckeln.
Love the game! I really, really wish there were more games like this available. I am not fan of hidden object games, but I love all of the mini-games/puzzles usually found in such games... and this game consists almost completely out of puzzles (tons of different puzzles) All in all it's the best HO I've ever played!
This is an Adventure HOG with Arcade-style Mini-Games, & puzzles game. I played on easiest mode. Overall I enjoyed it. However, the mini-games usually had too little & poor instructions. Also, the timer starts running while I'm trying to read the instructions. Several times I skipped mini-games because I couldn't figure out how to get things to move around on the board. I skipped many other games whose rules I didn't understand. Also, the English translation was so rough, it was hard to understand the instructions. The HOPs were fun and interesting. Gathering inventory and problem solving to move from one location to the next was really good.
