Experienced on the Meta Quest 2 & 3
You can view my review & gameplay here: I'm actually being nice by not showing gameplay video. I often do video reviews or gameplay early impressions. Unfortunately, every now and then I run into a game that is so lacking that I just don't want to beat a dead horse. This isn't a good game. I have played many brick breakers in VR. While, I wouldn't say this is the worst brick breaker that I have ever played, it would be close to the bottom. Swinging the racket just doesn't feel right. It feels like a delayed swing. Like there's lag from me swinging it. I don't know if this is a bug or a feature of the game. It feels like I'm swinging a racket underwater. The next problem with the game is that to start, the game points a laser from your racket to the bricks and then it auto-launches towards them. I have never seen it done like this in VR. It's ruins immersion right off the bat. The ball physics isn't very good either. I was also too low to the ground and there wasn't any way for me to fix it. Into The Noid is a paid VR game, that is a break out clone made for VR. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Vaporwave graphics style. Maybe buy on sale, if you looking for a break out like VR game. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. I don't have VR glasses of course, but a friend does, took it to try for fun. I can't say I liked it, but it was an interesting experience. The game is something like a light tennis simulator, we launch the ball, destroy blocks and hit it back. For me the price is overpriced, at least 2 times. You can play, but not for long.
A fun VR action game with a nostalgic feel, featuring a neon style. The gameplay is similar to a light tennis simulator where you launch and hit back balls to destroy blocks. This brick-breaking VR game is level-based with different features in each level. Use your paddle to deflect the bouncing ball into the bricks and clear sets to progress. Powerups help you clear bricks, and there are challenging elements like gravity balls. The game is enjoyable and worth the price.
hit the ball like in tennis and destroy the blocks
"'Into The Void' is an exciting adventure that makes you immerse yourself in a world of fantasy and adventure. From the very beginning of the game you will find yourself in a fascinating world full of mysteries and dangers. The graphics in the game amaze with their details and colorfulness, each level is recreated with amazing care, and the atmosphere is fascinating from the first minutes. The gameplay leaves a lot of impressions due to its dynamics and variety of tasks.
This is a brick breaking game for VR that takes its inspiration from Arkanoid. The game is level based, with each level having different features. Use your paddle to deflect the bouncing ball into the bricks. Clear all of the bricks and another set will appear. To complete a level, clear all of the sets of bricks within it (3 sets in the levels I have completed so far). Most of the time you will have only one paddle that you can switch from one hand to the other. There are various powerups to help you clear bricks, however, including one that lets you have a paddle on each hand. If you take too long to clear a set of bricks, the ball changes to a gravity ball that homes onto them, so as long as you can keep the ball in play you can still complete a level. I currently haven't progressed very far as I'm not very good, but it's still an enjoyable game and well worth the asking price. Suggested improvements: 1. Separate high scores for easy, normal, and hard difficulty on each level. 2. Option to change the default serving hand. I'm left handed, and it's annoying to have to serve with the right hand and then immediately switch to the left for more comfortable play. 3. Option to swap the controls. Trigger to serve and grip to switch hands seems more natural to me than the default, which is the opposite.
