About
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is a side-scrolling shelter survival game that tasks you with guiding a desperate group of zombie apocalypse survivors to safety. Craft weapons, scavenge resources, balance your group’s needs, and try to get everyone out of danger alive.
Texas, 1980. Walton City is a sprawling, coastal metropolis in the grip of a scorching heatwave and crippling economic crisis. Everything changes when an unstoppable zombie outbreak reaches US shores. Walton City is soon overrun by hordes of the undead, the few remaining survivors cut off from any chance of outside help. Forced to band together, these everyday people must chase their only chance of survival by escaping the city.

Gather a group of ordinary people who have been left shaken by the sudden zombie outbreak that has devastated their city.
Establish upgradable shelters to house your survivors and protect them from the zombie threat — but remember that no barriers can keep them out forever.
Keep moving from refuge to refuge to stay one step ahead of the encroaching zombie hordes. Every night, your barricades will be under their relentless attack. And if they break through, your survivors will pay the price.
Balance the physical needs of the group, like Hunger or Exhaustion, as well as psychological needs like Despair. Heal survivors from injuries like Broken Ribs and try to manage traumas like Nightmares.

Creep through the remains of Walton City to scavenge precious resources, risking the life of each survivor as they encounter both zombie and human threats. Stealth is key to survival.
Choose whether to run from a fight or engage in brutal combat with whatever weapons you can find or craft. Not everyone is a natural fighter, but desperate people will do anything to survive.
Convince others to join your group or cut them down and claim their resources as your own.

Test your humanity as you make tough decisions on who will live, who will die, and who will be left behind.
Inhabit the rich and atmospheric cityscape of Walton City, the once-bustling metropolis now an eerie ruin swarming with zombies.
Craft tools, weapons, and shelter upgrades to better equip your survivors for the struggles ahead, or give them a moment of comfort and familiarity in their dangerous new world.
Encounter a varying world which makes sure that every playthrough is a new experience.

Really enjoyed playing Into the Dead! I have done a single run-through so far with save scumming to see 3 potential endings. I didn't run into any traders on my first game sadly. I would like to see safe houses have a population notice/cap in future.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is a good game with a great upside for its future. The vision is there and with some major and minor tweaks it'll be one of the best zombie games around. One of those major tweaks needed is to the combat. there's dependently a lvl of jank and input delay that's present at times. With there was more intuitiveness to the dodging and striking as well. The things this game has going for it is the environments, sound, and the replayability to name a few. With improved combat and more of the same in most other areas we'll have a heck of a game on our hands. Looking forward to what the team turns this into.
Fun game, probably the worst name in the history of video games. Worth checking out.
So this game is wild. Bought it last night and played for a few hours. This isn't easy either which is great. The only problem I've noticed with this game tho is the durability on weapons is very bad. That can get very annoying. Would love to see durability adjusted as it's very unrealistic. Otherwise game is friggin amazing.
the game is definitely fun and addicting but the thing that made me give a bad review is because of the ending , you would think that everything u went thru u would get a good ending , but all you getting for the ending is just a wall of text explaining the ending, CRAZY , and theres no voice acting too , i looked forward to this game cuz of how good the mobile game of "into the dead" was , good story ,good voice acting , great ending thats not explained by a wall of text. gameplay wise its great
Ever since the first time I played *This War of Mine*, I thought, “How cool would it be if there were a mod for a zombie apocalypse?” *Into the Dead* isn’t just a mod or a reskin, it’s a fantastic survival game with management mechanics. I liked it so much that I keep replaying it, even just to try doing things differently and see new endings. I just hope they keep adding new mechanics that deepen the gameplay, because unfortunately, for now, there are some somewhat annoying limitations. For example, when playing on high difficulty levels, you’ll face a huge number of zombies with no way to fight them, since you start the game unarmed. A tweak to the stealth system would probably be welcome. A time limit for quests would also be nice; for instance, if a character has to save another, it would be interesting to have two possible outcomes: you arrive in time and save them, or you arrive too late and find them dead or turned into a zombie. The endings are also a bit too sparse; a single image and some text don’t provide the same satisfaction as a short cutscene would. Even if it were generated by AI, I’d prefer that. Otherwise, it’s perfect, one of my favorite games.
感觉刚上手挺不错,玩到中间感觉有点缺乏深度了,还有一些反人类设计,选的主角不慎被啃一口直接尸变了没有反制的药物。看公告后续有对应更新,只能说未来可期,建议等更新了再玩。
