I really liked the art style, but the story is meh, and the game is extremely short.
Interfectorrem is a short (~90 minute) point-and-click stlye VN about a teenage girl wrapped up in a supernatural event. Given that it was developed by (and presumably for) middle-schoolers, the story, art and chaacters are decent. The programming lacks polish - in places the dialogue text separates from its drop shadow, movement is largely menu based, and the sound mix is imbalanced, but none of those are game breaking. Overall, it's an enjoyable family friendly(ish) murder story and an opportunity to support some young talent.
Emmm...
This is not a good game. I'm not the target audience for this, but even if I were, this game is still bad. It's linear narrative game where the "narrative" is inane dialogue that often feels completely at odds with the context. The character art is nice and has a unique feel, whoever worked on it deserves praise. That's the only good thing I can say.
I think I got this game from a bundle - it's nice little thing around 1-2$ or at full price when you want to show support, but quality-wise it can't stand up against other games in the same price range. It's a messy game to review - it has strong points, good ideas, but it lacks in cohesion and execution. But then it was literally done by kids/teens, which explains the shortcomings, and make it a solid game. But when comparing it to others, it's not really up to par. Treat it as a proof of concept, a result of a game jam, or that someone told a story through a game, while not really making it a "gamey" game. The art style is great, it's vivid and nice to look at. I genuinely don't remember the soundtrack, that means it's average - not too good, not outstandingly bad. The gameplay is basically visual novel with some extra stuff to it, but not having a visual novel engine means you can only progress by clicking (no space) and pretty slowly even then. The story is interesting, and I would love to have a ~3-4 hour long game out of this. But in this case the real gameplay time is less than an hour, which had me exploring the town that has way too many absolutely irrelevant characters who are basically just backdrop. The actual mystery is really cool, but the shortness of the game doesn't really let it set in, it has a pacing of "Bad guy! Oh no! [evil guy]: Oh Yes! Fight! *whack* *pow* yay! hugs, the end". I mean no harm but even Scoobie Doo had times when meaningful screen freezes let you just think about the monster for two seconds, while the tempo of this game is like an escalator's, it just goes on without really changing. So at the end, the game is more like a curio than a "game for realsies". Treat it as such, and if you do want to buy it knowing this, I do recommend it. But it's not something I would talk people into playing.
The art has a nice quality. Everything else is bad. Very, very bad.
A co NOT: - ton, ton i jeszcze raz ton.
Super cool game, the writing is super meta and fun, the art is gorgeous. Great work!!
A short but very fun story with memorable characters. It's not so much as a point-and-click as a visual novel that allows the main character to comment on bits of the scenery and play very basic minigames. It would be at home as a half-hour cartoon or a three-issue arc in a comic book series. Very similar in tone and style to the Lumberjanes comic (the main artist actually did a Lumberjanes cover). I got it as part of a bundle, but after finishing it feel that it's definitely worth the asking price.
Good short game, kinda scarry. A large number of negative reviews clearly are people who have something against GMG.
