Act 1 is fantastic. Acts 2 and 3 are a bit meh... but Act 1 alone makes this one of the most entertaining games I've ever played.
this game is really special. i enjoyed it so much! lot of plot twists, cool unique gameplay/game mechanics and its way to underrated (players wise, the reviews say it as it is)
incredible card game, excellent video game
This game is absolutely unlike anything I have ever played before. It features card game elements as well as board game elements. The tension is non-stop, and every single round feels different; you learn from game to game, constantly encountering new characters, creatures, or enemies. Along the way, you meet various figures who may or may not have good intentions. It is a fantastic journey where you play against a figure that is hard to describe. The entire game is incredibly atmospheric and cohesive. While the story is being told to you, you live through it, all while sitting in an old, dark cabin filled with many items to explore and use. Sounds weird? It is—and yet everything makes perfect sense. Kudos to the developers! This game is something totally different, yet it pulls you into an oddly familiar environment and completely captivates you. You will make sacrifices—many sacrifices—and every single decision has its consequences.
This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible.
10/10 Inscryption is one of the most inventive games I've ever played. What begins as a tense roguelike card game quickly transforms into something far more ambitious, constantly surprising you with new mechanics, clever twists, and unforgettable moments. It's a game that's impossible to talk about without spoiling, and that's exactly what makes it so special. The card gameplay is deeply satisfying, striking a perfect balance between strategy, risk, and experimentation. Every victory feels earned, while every defeat pushes you to rethink your approach. Combined with its eerie atmosphere, exceptional sound design, and unsettling visuals, it creates an experience that's as captivating as it is unnerving. Inscryption is a masterclass in game design that rewards curiosity and embraces the unexpected. The less you know before playing, the better.
It is best to go into this game knowing as little as possible. Solving the puzzle is part of what makes it so good
