Simply a ton of fun. Easy to learn and hard to master. Only complaint is that it doesn't have more gamemodes. There are a lot of settings to tweak before starting a match, at least.
It's a very good game that is underrated in my opinion, however it lacks of content (save robots presets, mods, more maps, more weapons, other mechanics like grabbing would be cool)
CANT GET INTO DEATHMATCH AND HAVE PAID FOR FULL GAME, but other than that its a great game i love it
i just got this game today and holy crap is it fun, and it is steam deck compatable.
Its so good I just want to play with my friend from back home that did not go to college with me. 6/5 when online play is added
Super underrated. Amazing game. Very innovative combat, great art style, and overall just pure fun. But as I do with all my reviews, I must give some constructive criticism and suggestions. First of all, and what I think is the biggest problem with this game, is the balancing. There are a few weapons like the laser cutter, laser sword, and the triple flail. The way I personally would fix this is decreasing the damage and dismemberment factor of the laser sword a little bit, (I know this is meant to be overpowered but its a but much) and also making it a little less likely to spawn, the laser cutter be rarer, do less damage fire in shorter bursts be a little less accurate. Also maybe make it look a lot more powerful and therefore make it push back the player when fired. And finally the flail, do a little less damage, a little less knock back and maybe make swinging it slower and heavier. Also I feel the spawning of weapons could be tweaked. Very often me or my opponent will get one of the following weapons, and the other will get nothing, and the win goes to whoever gets the weapon. One more thing until I get to suggestions, the lash I think should have a bit larger hit box. Most of the time I'll swing it at the enemy and it will just slide off them because I didn't have the right distance, so I think maybe the damage zones on it should be larger. (Not sure if this is the issue or not but I'm assuming it is) The reason I separate suggestions and issues is because I think criticizing something because it lacks a feature isn't fair. First, I think more game modes would be really cool. You have a really good game here and it would benefit from something like the floor is lava and gamemodes of that style. I also think the options should have more customization, like stage size, border damage, things like that. Working back to gamemodes, I think having a gamemode where each stage has modifiers would be great. For example, +10 fist damage, no jumping, no legs, no weapons, etc. Another thing I think would be cool is a mechanic surrounding grabbing weapons at the same time. Very often me and my opponent will try to grab a weapon and the same time, and I think this would be a great way to include a button mashing sequence. Not anything super cinamatic, just make it so if whoever mashes the grab button faster gets the weapon. Finally, (sorry for the long review) kicking. I feel like using x and b or L3 and R3 to incorporate kicking would add so much variety to the gameplay and open up a lot of room for creativity. There were a few more things I thought about mentioning like online multiplayer and mod support but I thought that was probably mentioned already or already thought of so I decided not too. Overall this game is amazing and the most fun game I've played in a while, and I only said all this to help develop the game. Good luck, you've got somethin special here.
