Inner silence

Inner Silence is a die & retry platformer. The game has no setting option and you can't rebind the controls. The keybind are strange and have function that have no use in the game (arrow upwards keys makes the charecter do a 2 pixel "jump", why? no-one knows) (you can only dash backwards and running is right arrow+ "D" while using "W" and "S" to reverse gravity). The music is a short loop that becomes annoying rather fast. Hitboxes of the upwards moving balls is bigger than the opject. The game has issues if you die before the first checkpoint. In short the games looks more like a poorly made VVVVVV wanna be.

This game is absolute [strike]masterpiece[/strike] garbage. For a game named "Inner Silence" I wouldn't expect music that is so [strike]great[/strike] cancerous, belive me. Graphics? [strike]Absolute masterpiece[/strike] Game Boy Color have better graphics than this. Gameplay? For me it's running [strike]great and absolutelly flawlessly[/strike] on what looks like 300% speed, and without any options there isn't really anything to fix it. TL;DR [strike]Great game[/strike] Card farmer, nothing else really.

A 20 minute 2D platformer which abruptly ends and returns you to the main menu. Not particularly difficult or stressful thanks to an over abundant amount of save points. One soundtrack which harmonises nicely with the retro aesthetics the game goes for. There is no in game options or credits, so it’s difficult to tell if Volens Nolens games is the original developer or someone who simply bought the Steam rights of the game from the original developer. At the end of the day it works, there isn’t really any misleading information on the store page. There are 5 achievements and all of them unlock. On sale it goes for about 75 cents. It isn’t a bad game, it isn’t a good game either. It’s a 20 minute time waster at best for achievement hunters. Ok little game. Slightly challenging. Easy (no speed run, no no-death run) achievements. Lowest price category. Trading cards. Why not?
