A very well-made game all around : graphics are agreeable, music is exceptional, difficulty is well balanced.

非常不错的游戏
This game rules so much, I’ve been looking for newer games that are like Gradius, and while this one absolutely fits the bill, it stands extremely well on its own, I think when I recommend people shmups I’ll recommend this for people new to the genre since it’s on steam and is an amazing experience, the graphics in this game are beautiful and the soundtrack rules, great work!!!
Great old-school shooting game with bangin' soundtrack. Plays sorta like a cross between Gradius and Darius in the best possible ways; like a tightly-designed SNES shooter w/ no slowdown.
While it's mostly a good shooter, it has that stupid backwards shmup mentality that you need a ton of power-ups to even fly at a decent speed and do any damage, so dying once completely screws your entire run and you're left dying 25 times in a row within seconds of each other since you don't have enough power to kill enemies before the screen is full of shots and you don't have the speed to dodge anything. What is even the point of giving you all these extra lives and credits if you're practically forced to beat the game on one life?
This dev has to be the same guys who did Andro Dunos 2 right? Anyways, this definitely looks and feels like AD2, maybe even with better graphics and stages, but the gameplay is pretty lacking IMHO. The weapon variety is a bit weak (only 3 types of weapons, with 2 varieties each), and your weapons never feel very powerful even when fully powered up. And also to make things worse, even though there's enemies coming from behind and the game scrolls in all directions, there's really only ONE weapon variety out of the total (6?) or so that has sort of a backwards shot, so the game becomes very frustrating in many spots. The game really lacked well thought out design in the gameplay department. But still the graphics and sprite work are beautiful and might be worth it to just play through once so you can see all the stages.
If you're looking for a classic-style horizontal shmup, don't sleep on Infinos Gaiden. Like a lot of shmups that this pulls inspiration from, you power up your weapon and can change it via certain collectibles - downgrades upon death aren't too bad as to avoid gradius syndrome. Great sound and presentation overall and fun to play. Biggest complaint is a lack of options in general and a lack of reset options during play.
