I found myself in a strange house and I'm scared – это игра на поиск аномалий. I found myself in a strange house and I'm scared – это хорошая игра на поиск аномалий.
I found myself in a strange house and I'm scared is an unique Gem. I love it. It is the newest Game from "Quiet River" and I can recommend it! This Game is a Walking Simulator with Psychological Horror Elements, where you can discover a lot of different Anomalies. The Atmosphere is creepy and sometimes scary, but not too much. I like the different ways to die and the Enemies are interesting made. The Achievements are without any Bugs and all doable. The Achievement to finish the whole Game without any mistake can be challenging, it can take some hours and a lot of tries. I had a lot of Fun with this Game and would give this Game 9/10 Points.
I have enjoyed it so far!
Spaßiges kleines Anomalie-Spiel.
This is easily one of the best anomaly loop games I've played. Does so many things right, and doesn't feel like "yet another entry" into the genre of anomaly loop games. Multiple levels, lots of achievements, multiple step anomalies, some that are honestly quite creepy. HIGHLY recommended to pick this one up!
Looooooove
I Found Myself in a Strange House and I'm Scared, developed and published by Quiet River, is a first-person psychological horror game that masterfully immerses players in an unsettling world where every moment feels fraught with tension and mystery. The game’s premise is simple yet deeply effective: you awaken trapped inside a bizarre and ever-shifting house, with no memory of how you got there, and your only goal is to escape. However, the path to freedom is complicated by the house’s uncanny nature, which changes subtly but significantly each time you loop through its rooms. This cyclical structure keeps players constantly on edge, blending exploration with a growing sense of dread that builds with every iteration. The gameplay revolves around careful observation and decision-making. As you navigate through the dimly lit corridors and rooms, you must identify anomalies—small but disturbing changes or unnatural occurrences—and decide whether to flee or press onward. The mechanics encourage a patient and deliberate playstyle; rushing forward often leads to dangerous consequences. The atmosphere, supported by the game’s minimalistic yet effective visuals, amplifies this tension. Shadows stretch unnaturally, and familiar objects may appear slightly altered or out of place, creating a disorienting environment that reinforces the feeling of being trapped in a nightmare you can’t quite wake from. Visually, the game employs a subdued color palette and sparse lighting that enhance the oppressive mood. The house itself feels labyrinthine and claustrophobic, with tight spaces that add to the unease. The design steers clear of cheap jump scares, opting instead for a slow-building psychological horror that gets under your skin. Every room tells part of the story through subtle environmental details, and players are invited to piece together clues about the house’s history and the protagonist’s situation through exploration and careful attention to surroundings. This environmental storytelling is a strong point of the game, creating an immersive and eerie world without relying heavily on exposition. Sound design is another pillar of the game’s horror experience. The use of ambient noises—creaking floorboards, distant whispers, sudden unexplained sounds—keeps players constantly alert. At times, silence is just as effective, turning quiet moments into tense pauses where the imagination runs wild. The audio cues are well-integrated and contribute significantly to the oppressive atmosphere, making even small movements feel weighty and significant. While the looping mechanic and exploration are central to the experience, some players may find the repetition challenging. The cyclical nature of the game, while thematically fitting, can sometimes lead to a sense of monotony. Additionally, the lack of explicit guidance means players must rely heavily on intuition and careful observation, which might frustrate those who prefer a more linear or clearly directed gameplay. Yet, these design choices also work to reinforce the feelings of confusion, helplessness, and fear that are at the core of the game’s psychological horror. Overall, I Found Myself in a Strange House and I'm Scared is a compelling entry in the indie horror genre. It offers a unique and deeply atmospheric experience that relies on subtlety, mood, and player engagement rather than overt scares. Its slow-burning tension and thoughtful design invite players to lose themselves in a mysterious and oppressive environment where every decision matters. For fans of psychological horror who appreciate a game that prioritizes atmosphere and storytelling over action, this title provides a haunting journey that lingers long after the screen goes dark. Rating: 6/10
