Overall the game is really good when it comes to controls, visuals, length and music. The only negative thing I can say is that combat was limited to 2 melee moves and the bombardment attack; now I don't mind simple games, but even by NES standards you would expect a few sub-weapons to complement the melee attack. For the genre the game has a good length, I think I counted 15 stages that are further split into multiple parts, including space shooting section. My save file said that I played for about 2 hours but it was closer to 4 because I lost all my lifes several times. Apparently, you can get multiple endings, although I am not sure what exactly determines the outcome. I played on normal difficulty which had a reasonable challenge, it got a little hard toward the end but it never felt unfair. The pixel art was absolutely gorgeous, especially in some of the later boss fights, if anything the visual spectacle by itself is worth the price. However, I kinda felt like Olga's eyes were a bit too far apart ;), the entire time I was playing I did not want to make eye contact with her. The gameplay is pretty standard for the genre but it works very well, the traditional double jump and wall slide had perfect timing in my opinion. At first, I thought that stage design was a bit repetitive, however, it gets much better as you progress through the game as it adds more verticality, not to mention good environmental variety, pretty much hitting every stereotypical theme you can think of. I assume the soundtrack is licensed but it complemented the game very well nevertheless.
Pros:
+ good platforming controls & timing + decent length, multiple endings + good visuals, music and stage variety + fair difficulty, fun boss fights + co-op, save system + achievements
Feedback:
I wanted more combat variety - I don't mind simple games where you spam the same attack for 4 hours, but even if you look at games like Ninja Gaiden from 30+ years ago, you can still add some sub-weapons without breaking that gameplay style. There are so many boss fights with awesome guns, but for some reason, it's only the main character that is using the same basic attack even with suit upgrades. It didn't break the game, but I was jealous of every boss because they had a better arsenal than me. "What upgrade am I about to get now?" - it's damage increase... A few glitches - some of the achievements are broken at the time of this review, also the game might crash in a few spots. Overall Thoughts: 7/10 I think the game is made very well and the price is fair for what you get. It's nothing new but it scratches that itch for retro games with simple, but challenging gameplay. Controls were great and I loved how crazy some of the boss fights got. I feel a little bad leaving a Not Recommended here. This is where a neutral should apply, but I went with no because I got to the end (11-2 and 11-3) and the platforming got ridiculous with instant death pits and bad checkpoints and I could either git gud, watch the ending on youtube or just quit and never touch the game again. Seeing as how I went for the latter I settled on Not Recommended. The game does have though: Great NES vibe Excellent old school soundtrack Great controls Co-op (which I didn't try) However, the game just has such uneven difficulty most enemies you can just run through and soak up the damage, then comes a lava boss who knocks into a instant death trap. A second form boss whose first form takes way to long to get through again (really FOUR spears?) and then the final castle I just called it quits. Lack of an engaging story (which may be a plus for some) means that this just became all about the gameplay which I was no longer enjoying.

Good pixel-artwork, mostly melee action, 8-bit music. Similar to Contra/Metal Slug series. [2D ACT] 2人の女の子を操り、邪悪な女王から世界を守れ!魂斗羅メタスラ似
Fun, fast-paced platformer with occasional shoot-'em-up levels. Your character has a melee attack, double jump, dodge roll and airdash and you fight your way through 16 worlds with unique environments and bosses. The focus is more on combat than platforming and enemy encounters can get a little repetitive, but it's still fun mowing down hordes of soldiers and military vehicles with a little anime girl. Or two anime girls if you play local co-op. Only real gripe I have is that some bosses can be cheesed by tanking hits and spamming attacks, even on the hardest difficulty setting.
It's...okay, the problem is mostly that, it's just okay, you really feel like going through the motions playing this game but it's not incredibly good nor awful, it just feels like a regular platformer, albeit an easy one for the most part. Simple combat with attacks that are easy to dodge, good soundtrack and all that, it's just such a regular platformer it's easy to forget, the main reason why i don't recommend it though? Because not everything is well designed and the most memorable moment happens because of it, the Scorched Beast boss fight can instantly kill you...because you spawn on top of lava, and man, i sure enjoyed having the black screen saying the boss's name and DYING BEFORE I COULD DO ANYTHING the second and third times when i was caught in shock, normally i would be nice and recommend and serviceable platformer, but the game sometimes pulls out unfair tricks, very rarely, sure, but i HATE things like this. Particularly for a game with a Lives system, oh sure, you can save, but it just makes it feel 5% more awful when the game pulls off an instant death trap that goes so fast you have to know what's coming ahead to dodge it, and the fact that you can die in a black screen with just the boss's name on it is such a jerk move it's amazing, when it's not doing things like this, Infinite is...okay, it's so absurdly okay it's amazing, but the jerk moments just helped me push it for a negative review.
My experience with this game was quite good and I had a good time playing Infinite Beyond The Mind. To begin with, it has quite good level and background designs and the soundtrack accompanies it quite well, in addition to the fact that the Story is quite easy to summarize in a few words, it has 3 difficulties, 2 with the possibility of saving and one of them reappeared quickly, and finally, the most difficult although not so difficult, I will explain later, which is an expert who starts the game with few health points, 1 extra life alone and without the possibility of saving in the Of course, what makes that difficulty and this game feel like an old school one. Oooh! and when you die you have to do the level from the beginning. With the possibility of playing with a friend or brother in Cooperative mode. I have not used a controller for this game, so I used a keyboard and changed the controls for a little more accessibility, as I currently don't remember the default controls. It is also good to see more of the range than usual by pressing the same key twice both down and up, these is more to see the limit of the map so as not to lose a life by falling. I've also seen some enemy and boss skins that I liked. I have also found bad things and mistakes during my experience, which was that some bosses have mistakes, an example to give is the second boss and the third boss. for some reason the Second boss ''Hammer X-1'' while making an attack towards you and exits the screen, turns the vehicle off the scene and returns to the screen, you can keep hitting him while he is out of the scene at the ends of the screen. The Third boss ''SGS Lothar'' was a bit more fun in the moment of the first move, or rather the first shot, which usually fires a diagonal shot from the top right instead of the user who is literally right in front of the side left. That said, Lothar must also rotate the turret to take the first shot. The Fifth Boss ''Strike Doll'' this one is not capable of hitting you at all if you are crouching, and that it does blow of kicks that literally hit the user. The Seventh boss "SuperGriffo" I don't know if it's on purpose or not, but there is one of this boss weapons that doesn't affect the user while he's in a turret. Well now comes the time that some people talked about this issue, and I have passed it too, and it is the issue of achievements that in my opinion this game was launched and the achievements were broken in minute one. Few buttons, the maximum number of buttons is 3 in the whole game, which is the jump, the attack and the dash to go faster but this will consume energy, so that's ok. The neutral ending also caught my attention a bit and I didn't understand it well. And finally, when playing and ending the game with Olga, the game makes a forced close. Good leaving us of errors and things of bad experience. During my 30 hours playing in Infinite Beyond The Mind I have found a level that was the first time it appeared to me. and it's called ''Hot Blooded'', this can be found in Level 12 which replaces ''Cold Stare'', the level has taken me by surprise as I was doing a broadcast of the game and it came out for the first time. and in Expert. The Expert topic is difficult but not so difficult, because if you are in an area where an extra life appears when you grab it and die later, this life is generated again. This can also be seen in my stream on the last level. it took a long time to pass. Conclusion: Infinite Beyond The Mind, is a pixel platform game that looks like the old school with few buttons, with enemies that at first take a while to kill and advancing the game they fall in record time, a short story, at most It takes less than 2 hours to complete the game, unless you don't like squeezing a game so much, then the normal difficulty is for you as it has Saved between levels, but if you die you will have to do the level from the beginning. As I said before, my experience was quite good, since I had more than a good time playing alone and if you have a friend who likes these types of games, there is the cooperative. but I have played it totally alone. It has some secrets still hidden that I have not found yet, so I will search as much as I can. So I'm giving it a positive review, even though the game has so many bugs to fix, I had a great time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umjj3S14vPI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEwWtuTfMI4 Score 6.3/10
If you are a retro platformer junkie, you will probably find a lot to like here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKmMKN6l_Fw Infinite Beyond The Mind - замечательный платфомер.
This game is infinite and beyond the mind. 10/10
