Alice Sisters

Since this game has no reviews yet and the launch discount is about to expire, let me give my thoughts, even though I like to get further than a fourth of the way through the game before reviewing games unless I run into a game-breaking issue, a puzzle I can't figure out without a guide or bad controls. This is a great retro-style game. The mechanics are fun, unique, conducive to two-player co-op (not that anyone will be friends with me) and speedrun-friendly (not that I like speedrunners). The absence of temporary power-ups and collectibles such as coins or rings does make the game feel a bit dry, though, even if it is a common design choice in modern 2D platformers. However, it is fun to try to do things such as jump on an enemy from a spring or get through narrow tunnels an enemy also goes through without killing it. The music and graphics are beautiful, and Alice's sprite is especially cute. However, I have a few gripes I feel prospective buyers should know about, even if not everyone has problems with them: -Flying enemies are immune to being jumped on, and that isn't obvious from their sprites -Checkpoint placement can be a bit annoying -The game rather suddenly gets much more difficult around world 1-4 -The player character life bars during boss fights are a bit too generous -And the big one: the game resizes all your windows whenever you run it. I would also really appreciate it if the soundtrack was available in-game for beating the game or externally for the right price.

Playing games with kid, he likes it and I enjoying. Background music are really good.

Ayant joué au jeu sur Steamdeck pour le tester, je recommande Alice sisters. Le gameplay est agréable avec le switch entre les sœurs pour débloquer certains passages, un bon mélange plateforme et réflexion type puzzle. La difficulté est bien dosée avec des premier niveaux faciles pour comprendre comment jouer et plus de difficulté dans les niveaux suivants sans devenir injustement dur. Petit bémol sur la musique qui est sympa mais pourrait être un peu lassante dans la longueur. Fonctionne parfaitement bien sur Steam Deck, on peut télécharger et jouer directement !

Très bon jeu de plateforme avec assez de challenge sans être pour autant frustrant. Les énigmes rajoutent de l'intérêt et le mode coop est très bien géré et permet de d'arriver à avancer dans les levels même si les 2 joueurs n'ont pas le même niveau. Là où j'en suis la difficulté monte progressivement sans être insurmontable. Bref un petit jeu bien sympathique qui permet de passer un bon moment seul ou à 2 .

J'ai eu la chance d'avoir un accès à Alice Sisters pour tester sa compatibilité sur le SteamDeck. J'aimais beaucoup Alice Mom's Rescue et c'est donc avec plaisir que j'ai découvert Alice Sisters. C'est un jeu très réussi, simple dans sa mécanique mais au combien réflexif. Les graphismes sont à la hauteur des attentes de tout retrogameur et la bande son saura flatter vos oreilles aguerries ! une belle réussite pour Orionsoft qui j'en suis sûr devrait trouver une place dans votre bibliothèque. L'exécution sur le Steamdeck est parfaite !
