I have not played that much of this game just as of yet but i can definatly say this is a great game, te controls are fluid, the character models look brilliant and the roster and levels are well chosen. This game is the perfect Super Smash Bros clone for PC gamers, it features the same mechanics but focuses on indie games instead of company specific games like super smash bros. I would reccomend this game to anyone who loved/loves super smash bros and cannot wait to see the final product :D
(Got this from a giveaway that I've long forgotten about...)
Discount bin Super Smash Bros. ...if you still wanna spend money that is.
Indie Game Battle holds no secrets that its referencing its source material as a third-person brawler utilizing a damage percent system and elimination by falling out of bounds. Unlike the hit brawler, Indie Game Battle catered to the niche market of indie games, from the well known, to the obscure, to the originals belonging to the devs (and some you may find from flash animations). The characters in this game look nice and are well animated, but what really catches my eye are the stage layouts which look, in a word, great! You can tell this game was a labor of love and had hopes to become one of the bigger named brawlers out there with a ton of playable character slots (now empty) and stage slots (again, empty). I can even see how online play would've made this game more fun...however, it's been noted that this game has been cancelled, which sucks given the scope of what it set out to be. (It was even set to have a story mode, but it's greyed out too) Simply put, Indie Game Battle is an incomplete project that had a dream to be something big...something great. Even with the price tag ($5), you may find yourself disappointed...buy it during a sale if you want to see what the hubbub is about. It's a shame to see this game's demise and it hurts me to negatively review something that had so much love sunk into it...but I'd be lying if I said it was something to spend several hours playing rather than idling (for the KO achievements). 3/10 You may want to look into Brawlhalla instead...which is another Super Smash Bros. on Steam for free.

Charachers are somewhat unbalanced, and controls are a little stiff. It's cool to see a bunch of characters come together, but there isn't much else backing up this brawl style game. Honestly, it's a game that could have done decent had it been complete. The developer announced in 2017 that the game would not be completed due to public backlash, so what appears in videos and such is lla that will exist.
It's a really good game i am really hyped for some of these confirmed character, i admit i hardly know any of these indie characters that are currently in the game but ik a few and that is also why im hyped for the confirmed ones like the batter (seriously off is a good game) and niko from one shot. Let's get to the game itself now. Pros: - good map design (except some maps have these really big spaces between em but that is fine for me) - so far most characters are really fun to play - nice character skins for those that have it - no content cut dlc so far - only 10 euros - they made this game work whit the unity engine (good for them :p) - alot of updates (what i like to see in early development games) Neutral: - not all characters have a skin or recolor but they are prob implementd later - running is kinda hard to pull off on some chars but that might be me Cons: - Some attacks seem to be a bit poor but it's not too bad - lots of opens spaces for characters and stages still in development take too much off the roster and could have been left away to make the roster easier manouverebel and cleaner - characters could have been sorted better (not really a big thing) - zee tee being broken as hell aka fast special ultimate move (will prob be nerfed in the future i hope) and still a couple of glitches like poncho still having this assist capsule in his hand that i cannot throw (i blame unity engine) all in all still a solid 6,5/10 that most likely will be an 8/10 or 9/10 if it gets finished i cannot wait to play this localy whit my friend this weekend as we share a library (just like the good old melee-brawl times) keep it up devs :p
Jogo péssimo e desenvolvedor tóxico, jogo abandonado sem entregar tudo que foi prometido (modo história por exemplo) e cancelado, se você quiser saber de toda a história é fácil achar (mas eu não recomendo). ------------------------------------ Terrible game and toxic developer, game abandoned without delivering everything that was promised (story mode for example) and cancelled, if you want to know the whole story it's easy to find (but I don't recommend it).
a pretty okay little smash clone with some deep cut characters. too bad the devs abandoned it. it's not even close to complete.
its so bad lol, c-stick doesn't use moves. if they fixed this it would be really good, but the devs are just stupid. edit: lol nvm artist is brawl meta night 2.0
ТУПО МОРТАЛ КОМБАТ XLLLL Мой итог 2/10
